Cassava leaves are eaten all across DR Congo, it is very good and nutritious. Cook it with eggplants, green pepper and green onion. You can add dry fish, white beans or even porc (Madagascar). Be careful to put it 2 to 5 minutes in boiling water before pounding or blending in to remove its toxicity. Cook with palm oil or any oil and come tell me :)

Very informative. Where can I get cassava stems for cultivation in Melbourne Australia? I grew up in Nairobi Kenya and now reside in Australia.

Make a video of successful miraa farmers or is it farmed by cartels?

I really love to try it. But I disagree with one part of the video that he emphasized to eat it raw. Raw Cassava contains cyanide which is toxic for our bodies. And there was a time in Africa that people were seeing their children being kinda paralyzed when walking. After investigations, they found out that some families did not let the cassava release its toxic contents before eating it. However, I would like to know people's experience with raw Cassava!

We ate raw cassava as young Childs. We never had any problems with it as we were cautioned not to eat central portions of the tuber. It is sweet when raw and especially when it is freshly extracted.

We do eat cassava leaves in SL, but not like the way you prepared it.
You really need to crust it very well,
Other ingredients include: fish/ meat, palm oil, or vegetable oil, (optional ) peanut /groundnut butter, onions, hot pepper, margie, nd salt.
Boil your fish or meat f I r about 30 minutes, add your salt, and palm oil, allow a boiling of 15 munites , add the grounded cassava leaves and pepper . Do not forget to be staring every 4 to 5 munites during the boiling until the water is completely dried leaving just the oil then add your onions
