    The casava plant is a blessing to mankind. It is so abundant in Africa and Asia that it can feed the world.

      It used to be highly cultivated in the carribean also. There were two types bitter and sweet cassava. The bitter ones were mainly for starch production and the sweet one's for human consumption. Now its only grown in some areas for cakes and its very expensive

      Cassava tuber, unlike Wheat, is gluten free, which makes it a superior alternative to wheat, particularly for human food production,;in that gluten is injurious to health.. it's high time the World Health Organization of the United Nations stop being silenced by the World Powers behind Wheat for economic gains

    As a kid we use to feed pigs with cassava now this opens my eyes to a whole new way to feed my pigs

    Good presentation and i'm fascinated, but in comparison to commercial feeds how does cassava match up? does it have all or most of the nutritional values of the ingredients found in commercial feeds? I anticipate your response thanks.

      cassava hay/or leaves also has a high protein like soybeans,it has 25% protein content, iron, vitamins A and C.and it also contains fiber. and it also amino acid like in an one egg. thats why cassava has a crude protein and crude fiber.

    How about the cyanide mostly present in the peels? How is that controlled so as not to harm animals that consume them? Unless the peels do not contain cyanide or cyanide is harmless to animals.

    Cassava has its origins in Brazil, the freed slaves carried it with them when they went back to Africa from Brazil. Brazil has a lot to teach about cassava you should look for new products in Brazil.

      once its extracted the starch stays starch,the lesser the juices the lesser the cyanide content. once the cassava dried in solar, or in the facility.its more lesser Hydrocyanic acid.becasue HCN is volatile,and its easily evaporated,once you boil or dried.that is why the HCN content of the dried cassava is less than 2%. and its safer for food consumption.leaves or roots
