The fact that the game itself literally forgets rukkhadevata entirely (some info about different objects, characters' voicelines etc.) makes this even more heartbreaking. But at least, as zhongli and xiao said, we are the witnesses and will never erase her existence from our memory 😔
Here's the thing though, even if we remember rudevaka, we aren't IMUNE to memory alteration. Remember when we walked outside the city when in the loop part of the quest? Those memories are gone. the way that the song repeat the melody back is the way to tell that even if rukkhadevata is no longer ever exist, the game or us, traveller, will always remember her. just like the way aether is not the nature of this world so he wont take effect of whats happening
It's gonna be very hard to top the Sumeru Archon quest not gonna lie...I feel like Nahida is the only Archon that has a very good character development and the fact that she is still in the process of becoming a much better archon which I believe she already is but makes her more closer to the players...Character growth and Character flaws are always needed for the audience to connect to that character more emotionally and Nahida did that perfectly...Heck I would say after Teppei, Dunyarzard might be my most favorite NPC in genshin...I cried like a baby during her quest..!!!!
Ei had amazing character development as well. It’s only really Venti and Zhongli who’re lacking. But their charisma makes up for that. Nothing will ever top my love for Ei’s two quests.
@@edgydemonchild4485 The thing about Ei is... I love Ei I really do and after the story quest 2 I respect her even more...But don't u think she kinda dodged all the consequences for making such a mess of Inazuma. Because of her stupid reasons ( which weren't stupid to her IK ) she inadvertently led to so many people's death ( especially Teppei ) and then after she got to her senses at the end everyone just forgot about that...TBH archons were suppose to protect the people of their region not be the reason for their deaths so she failed as an Archon...which should have had some consequences...For example people learning the truth about Makoto and later hating Ei for what she did to them..and then Ei stepping on the redemption arc to better the wrongs and try to be the People's Archon U know.... That would have been amazing personally I would have loved that...That's the only part which made me not like the Inazuma archon quest as much...And about Venti I won't say much we know we all love him...and his story is far from over we all know that, Zhongli was a "perfect" man even before we started the archon quest so he didn't need any character development which is sad but it is what it is...Mad respect for him tho he did what a Archon should and he saved Xiao are u kidding me Xiao is so precious even Zhongli knows that LOL only respect for my man.
@@saahil0855 this Even though I liked Ei's second quest, I couldn't help but not like her as a character, because all her wrong doings suddenly went away as if nothing happened. I would totally love her if she went through a redemption arc and we saw her struggle to make it up for her people, her nation and maybe even feel sorry for what happened, maybe tell her people the truth of why there was a war because too many people died for it and so on. Just my opinion though. We still don't know as much about Venti, which is a shame, but not sure how much there is to him we don't know, and Zhongli is an old being whose story is all over Liyue, in stories and legends - there is not much character development he could have, the one that had to go through the development was Liyue itself, and I actually didn't mind that at all.
@@sara_s1737 indeed i like her myself but as a character she's not that well written sure ppl can say it's the Shoguns fault not Ei but whose the one who built her? The flute later on gives a general sense of sadness, but the melody rather is full of blessings for her own people, that they finally dream and live long.

Man, i cant believe i got to the point of crying for someone that is a bunch of pixels and poligons with paragraphs of story, seriously, this game is amazing and i never will regret having spend 3 years with it
In the end Rukkha knew that the memory of her life had become one with the story of the forbidden knowledge. No other archon had power over knowledge like her so she was the only one who could erase it completely. She had to not only physically fight it but fight it IN CONCEPT because it itself is a concept. The very idea of it is part of it's presence. What I wondered though, is if what the Doctor told Nahida wasn't immediately reintroducing some of the forbidden knowledge directly to Irminsul by telling it to her? Is what the Fatui and Abyss are doing, pushing the boundaries of Teyvats "laws", not part of the forbidden knowledge?
After I finish the latest archon quest I need to watch spy x family funny moments again to wash away the pain in that last scene of Nahida and Rukadevatta interaction because Sumeru City theme really gave me bittersweet feeling same like what "I really want to stay at your house" song from Cyberpunk Edgerunner
Ngl, I think I'd go crazy if I was the Traveller, not being able to share or talk about a being that saved the lives of millions and being the only one with knowledge no one else would understand or believe
Finally the slow songs too got a highlight. My favourite still stands: Moonlit Night in Sumeru (Flute) Languid & Quiet Moment (Sitar) Evergreen Wish Flickering Shadows of Trees / Vagrant Wandering (Piano) / A Drowsy Sensation (Sitar) Vimara Village Village Surrounded by Green Honorary mentions: Vanarana Transparent Night
After i saw that 3 chair in Oasis i really smile with tears because the three finally reunited in somewhere else and do whatever they want know since they no longer have any problems left
More than her sacrifice what is tragic that the only solution is remove her from "memories" Idk about others but that was more cruel than death for me. I hate the thought of forgetting any memory in general and this is about such a kind, selfless and pure hearted God just like Makoto. I was smacking my pc table while crying I couldn't take the anger and sadness... Thank God at least there will be people to remember Makoto and Traveler about Rukkha.

So that is summary of act 5 chapter 3, you will feel more emotional if you playthrough the story and read the lore, the paragraph I just wrote might missing some details about the quest because i dont want to write a long comment :v.
@@gilangignasraharjo6138 I usually am not into classic anime fantasy stories.
Everytime I hear it play in the city now, I sit down and pay my respects through the whole song before getting up and doing what I was doing again, Respect must be given 😭😔
Depression impact. when i heard the song after finishing the quest i lowkey teleported away flashbacks are wild 🗿. have a feeling that end of our journey not going to be a happy one
Never in my life have I ever cried so hard at a games story quest...
Rukkhadevata never deserves to be forever forgotten
I'm from the future. And you know what? Mihoyo did it again. Again.
Mondstadt arc end : 😄
Liyue arc end : 😄
Inazuma arc end : 😄
Raiden's story quest : 😭
Sumeru arc end : 💀
Fontaine arc end : 💀
Genshin end : 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
"May the world completely forget about me"
When i hear that full context I'm literally stunned.
Such brilliant writing bro
As an Indian honestly sumeru soundtrack really hit me hard. All the soundtrack were to the point and really hit hard. I really appreciate the hard work of hoyoverse. Genshin impact never disappoints
This archon quest was why I’ve learned how to spell Rukkhadevata in one go
Unaliving NPC was enough to make me cry but they did this with an damn original archon who was thissss gentle hoyo its 4.1 and i m still sobbing and traumatized by this
I wasn’t going to cry and enjoy this vid… then you put the quote at the end! I didn’t want to cry!
When the flute kicks in god damn the emotions hit hard. I'm at work rn, why the fuck am I crying 😭
The fact that this theme is also Nahida's Demo and Trailer theme too, which got me Emotional DMG Bonus 100%
Watching Nahida so sad afterwards and still crying and not knowing why broke me inside. And the ending of her Story Quest made me just... AH
the way that the song repeat the melody back is the way to tell that even if rukkhadevata is no longer ever exist, the game or us, traveller, will always remember her. just like the way aether is not the nature of this world so he wont take effect of whats happening
I bet her story quest part 2 will be amazing
@@saahil0855 this
Even though I liked Ei's second quest, I couldn't help but not like her as a character, because all her wrong doings suddenly went away as if nothing happened.
Who left her in charge of a nation that Makoto entrusted to Her? She left her responsibility in the hands of a weapon that can be used like a double edge sword and it showed. Blame Watatsumi all they want but. Still Ei should've been the one to handle this not cave due to some trauma from 500 years ago. Especially when people are looking to her for protection
This hits even more rn for me after leaving my arabe country to france.. Literally the transition from sumeru to fontaine was in the same month i left, leaving your home, friends and family behind.... 💔💔
i hope you're holding up alright man
@@tobyandahalf thanks budd ❤️ it is what it is, u gotta deal with what life throws at u
Why did you move to france
@@MiyuKawasaki mainly bcz of studies and salary, but there's also the fact that i have my 2 brothers here. Its kind of a thing our parents hvae been doing fo the 3 of us, so we'd get to be responsible of ourselves and leave our comfort zone
''For riddles, For wonders'' in Semeru
And The focalors sacrifice music in Fontaine
I'm mentally sick now 🥺
You just had to throw that "Goodbye... people of Sumeru" there at the end didn't you? Making me tear up over here.
It's actually so sad cuz it's a fate worse then death, being forgoten entirely by everyone, it's as if u never even existed
Reminds me of the movie Coco. Forgotten by everyone that lived is the so-called final death.
The moment I heard this song, I knew what's in store for us and that there will be crying. I always related the tune with a sense of yearning at 00:16, probably Rukhdevta missing her own people. The flute later on gives a general sense of sadness, but the melody rather is full of blessings for her own people, that they finally dream and live long.
Let the world completely forget me.
Goodbye, people of Sumeru. May you be blessed tonight with the sweetest of dreams.
It was not the first time I cried with a video game, but it was the time I cried the most and it still breaks my heart
Mondstadt : wohoo we go on adventure and fight dragon
Liyue : damn what a plot twist
Inazuma : Hell yea we brawl with electro archon
Sumeru : Emotional Damage
Snezhnaya: PTSD
Fontaine: WHERE THE FUCK IS THE EFFIEL TOWER?!
This has officially become my life's own OST, lol
Imagine finding peace after years and years of suffering.
This.
This is what comes to my mind if I think about this kind of situation.
i cannot listen to it anymore. i have to take out my earbuds when it comes on because it'll make me cry.
This song is the nightglow of genshin, while ch3 act 5 is genshin's equivalent of ch 9 from honkai...
And both games gave me PTSD.
I love how in both games mihoyo gives players very beautiful songs to remind us of depression and sorrow .
Cant wait for song like everlasting flame vibe comes in genshin
Hearing "goodbye people of sumeru" opens the floodgates for me
I got Nahida out, but at what cost T_T
😭😭
depression
Who’s rukadevatta? There has only ever been lesser lord kusanali.
@@duublelm6450Rukadevatta = redacted
OMG SAMMMEE
"Goodbye... People of Sumeru..."
Ngl, I think I'd go crazy if I was the Traveller, not being able to share or talk about a being that saved the lives of millions and being the only one with knowledge no one else would understand or believe
" I don't know why....
But I feel very sad right now..."
Sumeru wine tastes the same, but where are those who share the memory
After listening to the song twice
( be4 and after the quest ), now i really want to stay at your...
No stop we don't need another dose of depression
The fact they managed to make us care so much On Rukkhadevata despite barely appearing in the story makes this PEAK.
Sumeru is just packed with emotional damage , playing the archon quest sent chills down my spine unlike any other archon quest
I love how certain places in every region give away part of the archon's ost
Finally the slow songs too got a highlight.
My favourite still stands:
Moonlit Night in Sumeru (Flute)
Languid & Quiet Moment (Sitar)
Evergreen Wish
Flickering Shadows of Trees
/ Vagrant Wandering (Piano)
/ A Drowsy Sensation (Sitar)
Vimara Village
Village Surrounded by Green
Honorary mentions:
Vanarana
Transparent Night
After i saw that 3 chair in Oasis i really smile with tears because the three finally reunited in somewhere else and do whatever they want know since they no longer have any problems left
The oasis is going to crumble to sand within a few years
Extremely beautiful
Completely Agree, It's so beautiful😭💚
4.2 rolls round: YOU AINT SEEN SHIT
More than her sacrifice what is tragic that the only solution is remove her from "memories" Idk about others but that was more cruel than death for me. I hate the thought of forgetting any memory in general and this is about such a kind, selfless and pure hearted God just like Makoto. I was smacking my pc table while crying I couldn't take the anger and sadness... Thank God at least there will be people to remember Makoto and Traveler about Rukkha.
Yes it does . Its my favourite song even before doing the Archon quest and every time the flute part plays it reminds me of that scene
She isnt forgotten
Theres 7 billion people to prove that fact
we all just became Zhongli after that one. Where are those who share the memory
i literally cried with this music after archon quest. its so beautiful.
So true… 😭😭😭
Every time I hear that song again… I too almost have to cry again… 😥😥😥
Whenever this songs comes up I star crying 😭
HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST ARCHON QUEST EVER.
Me who cried a water bottle full of tears: 😭
Yes I actually cried a water bottle full of tears somehow
No tears. No sorrows. No regrets.
Thank you Greater Lord Rukkhadevata… For everything.
sumeru has a special place in my heart. anything that reminds me of nahida makes me feel safe. :')
Wanderer: "Cry louder!"
Ok...fine...i will...Wanderer.. :(
Wanderer: "Wait..let me be here with you."
We will never forget you Rukh. We will always remember you.
"say something, they're giving up on me...."
Me at 3.1: Wow, I want Maha Rukkhadevata as a playable character.
Hoyoverse at 3.2: *Erases her from existence*
genshin is amazing, wonderful, beautiful, flawless....😭😭💚💚
Seeing Rukkhadevata in the genshin anime is gonna hit harder than a truck
imagine if most of the anime is like a prequel to the main story building up the world before the traveller twins came to be
really brings a slight tear
Way before the version 3.2 were teased, I felt sad the moment I heard this music in the game for the first time, it has a somewhat sad feeling to something which cannot be reversed for the sake of a certain event and now I know why after completing the Archon Quest 😢.
For riddled for wonder (and Port Ormos ones!) was my favourite tracks to begin w/so hearing it in the archon quest was 😭😭😭💔💔 You just know it has a nostalgia tied to it?? Genshin soundtracks are rly something!! TwT💖
Me who felt emotional before the quest because it awaken memories from my childhood
3.2 Archon Quest left me a greater mental injuries than any relationship can..
And the story DID get even better with Fontaine.
People will never know of Rukkhadevata's sacrifice, and I'm not sure if they will know of Focalors' either.
Honestly... it's a little too devastating.
this is a song you can truly vibe and sleep to cuz it is Kandy for the ears,
port ormos when you wake up
We just saved the world right? Then why am I crying?
Yeahh! We just save the world ;w; I really want to hug Nahida so much 😢 I want to tell her everything but It's gonna be loop T T
this made me cry :(
same vibe with Dango Daikazoku.
if you have watched Clannad, you will understand T.T
Damn right, I can't hear it without having to hold back tears now
