I'm with you there, KH is a very unique franchise despite it's convoluted plot.
KH wouldn't be as successful without crossing over with characters from Disney, Final Fantasy, TWEWY, Pixar, and possibly more to come, even though the music is beyond beautiful. Not to mention it's some of the best action RPGs, at least in my opinion (mostly 2 and 3).

God, it's weird knowing I met my fiance at a con, and we both loved kingdom hearts this much, and I even proposed to her at Disney world when we went to go see the world tour. And all this started because I saw this weird game in the corner of a blockbuster.

I remember playing Kingdom Hearts and Birth by Sleep as a kid. But now that I'm older and regained my love for the series, I'm now marathoning all the way to Kingdom Hearts IV. I've beaten I, II, and still going through Terra's Story as well as Chain of Memories. Wish me luck, everyone.

Nooope, this story wasn’t quite written to be played in timeline order. Release order is the way to go, with how they distribute the info/reveals to the player.
358/2 would spoil a few things in KH2, for example
@@theNoah99 so play 2 and then backtrack to 358 Nah… I mean couldn’t you technically play 358 after kh1 and have it make sense considering that the secret ending is more or less a concept for 358. The ending of 358 literally leads into the start of kh2

I’ve seen a lot of fucked up shit, I’ve witnessed people get killed in front of me, I’ve been abandoned by my entire family, I used to be in a gang, I’ve been shot 4 times and put in a wheelchair, I’ve had some of my closest friends die on me, I’ve been betrayed and nearly got killed by someone who was my close friend, my point in saying all this is to convey to you that I’m literally as tough and emotionless as they come, and even I was brought to tears from the music and the recap at the end and became hysterical when I saw that a 4th kingdom hearts was in the works 😂
The original Kingdom Hearts was one of the very first video games I ever played. Needless to say, these games have been with me since the very beginning, and it’s such a special series to me. I can’t wait to see what lies in store for the future. Happy 20th anniversary, Kingdom Hearts!

It might be a little cliche, but Kingdom Hearts really is one of the few series I can say is truly magical.

My goodness. Kingdom hearts was my comfort series for me in high school. I was going through a lot mentally back then and watching the walkthroughs on RUclips kept me sane during those dark times. Even after I discovered other games and series, Kingdom Hearts will always have a special place in my heart. Pun intended 😝
I love the fact that this even exists. There have been plenty of franchises that have lasted 20 or more years, but many of them get anniversary events like "Here's a game with a special box art" or "Here's a collection edition of all the games". Kingdom Hearts is among the few I know of that goes THIS far to celebrate the longevity of the series and the support of the fandom.
It's times like this that make me the most proud to be a KH fan, because the community is so passionate and Square is so open about celebrating the games far more than what's needed. The absolutely overabundance of love and adoration that's shown in these events from both the events and the fans attending them (and those of us that can only see them via videos like these) really highlights the best of the KH community.
For my kindgom Hearts it will always be number 1. It has incredible characters, very beautiful worlds, very good fights, a perfect soundtrack, charismatic villains. This franchise has given me very good values and I am sure that they will continue to give me those very good messages. For me, Sora is a character that I always liked, he does not need to belong to a warrior race or possess divine power or have pride. We should all learn from Sora and his friends.

It's a dream come true seeing Kingdom Hearts get a beautiful celebration like this. The franchise has definitely come a long way and it's wonderful seeing how it has impacted many people besides just me. Was 6 going on 7 when Kingdom Hearts released back in ’02, n I’ve been a fan since then. Kingdom Hearts 2 released on the exact day, of my 10th birthday in ‘05. To this day, that game holds a special place in my heart. I’m nw 26 going 27, n I’m still a fan of the series. I love the characters, the worlds that have been included in each title, etc. I’d like to think, myself, n the rest of the Kingdom Hearts community, r eagerly looking forward to what the future holds. 💯

So many memories. Being 7 years old watching my sister play KH1, then playing all of them myself. 2 has a special place in my heart, 3 has my favorite keyblade transformations and BBS has so many spells its crazy. Excited to see 4.

The ending of the video really made me emotional remembering every memory I have the 1st time playing a new title, from Kingdom Hearts 1 at 13 yrs old to now waiting for Kingdom Hearts 4 and the feelings of always wanting more, the dreams I would have wondering what happens next, the feeling of happiness and excitement playing the next game. Im so grateful for this series to have gotten me through some dark times and always finding the light somehow at the end, thank you for giving me my guiding keys 👑❤️

Damn, time flies. I remember waiting outside of Hollywood videos and buying the 1st Kingdom Hearts game on Launch for the PS2. No matter what anybody says. KH1 is my personal Favorite . It was the pinnacle

Kingdom hearts has been my comfort series since the day it released. The creative teams behind it have always done an amazing job really capturing the essence of "magic" in it. I remember the first day of playing it, even being brand new it had this feeling of nostalgia. Almost like meeting an old, dear friend. It was welcoming and warm. I'll continue to play the series till I can't anymore.
We have been waiting for the release date of Dark Road since last year, I cannot describe how happy I am to finally know it is just a couple of weeks ahead of us! MAY YOUR HEART BE YOUR GUIDING KEY!!!

I’m going to be honest here…..Kingdom Hearts 358/2 was the first Kingdom Hearts game I played from the series but it was that one game that got me hooked on it that I look into the whole series learning everything about it and I don’t regret it ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I got in the franchise very recently when the games became available on PC. I've found a lot of value in the gameplay, the story, and the music for how they connect to create a unique and wonderful experience.
Man 20 years and we’ve come so far with this franchise from the games till now, the music shown in major events and even the main protagonist Sora joining Smash Ultimate as the final fighter so whatever comes next, I’m all here for it!

I literally just woke up to this but seeing this recap was something truly special, Kingdom Hearts is by far my favorite franchise ever and seeing it became 20 years old just feels truly unique knowing I was growing right beside the series.

This actually made me ball my eyes out. KH has been such a big part of my life and inspired me to become a game artist, and maybe even director, like Nomura. Even though I didn't discover the series until a bit after KH3 was announced, it's still wild to me to think that this series had been going strong for 20 years, its literally as old as I am.

This is the most important game I ever played, and the most impactful game or any series in my entire childhood and adult life. I have never cared more for, or loved a game as much as I love Kingdom Hearts.
Please do good to preserve Nomura's vision in the story, and translate it so that one day we may understand. It's a sweet moment when it finally clicks for a Kingdom Hearts fan pondering something in the series. But maybe it was designed to make people think a little bit. Proud of you all. Thank you so much for all the hard work. It means more than I can say. Thank you Kingdom Hearts team, every person who worked on, and inspired these games.
What could I say? I was nearly a year-old when the first game came out and still i fell in love with it, and grew up alongside the series, it's been an amazing experience. Tomorrow I'm turning 21, and I'm still here, getting excited and being grateful about everything related to Kingdom Hearts, and I want to keep going with this great and long adventure. 20 years just flew by...
I've been a fan since I was a kid and had the pain and pleasure to suffer throughout all of those years of waiting for KHIII; how the community gathered with theories, how we speculated when was the next trailer, what would be in the game... That experience and shared sentiment was truly magical and I am sure no other videogame series will ever make me feel what I felt that night before release and the following weeks.
Even now I still can't believe I own that game.
Let's keep going for another 20 years!

Consistently wonderful and amazing characters, music, story, visuals, and more for 20 years going is absolutely incredible. I love this franchise so much. I don't think there are any continuing stories in video games that will always bring out the same feelings of joy (and occasional heartbreak) like Kingdom Hearts does for me!!
After what happened at the recent concert some of us are very, very anxious and reassurance would be very appreciated
I literally cried, especially with the violins and piano playing to the song theme. I even named my little brother's name as Roxas. That's just how I'm so fond of this game. Excited to know KH is now available offline on iOS but sadly unavailable in my region.. But still, thank you so much for 20 amazing years!

There aren't a lot of things that get me emotional, but thinking of Kingdom Hearts as I recall the many iterations of myself over the years definitely stirs up some major feels. While KH continues to captivate its next generation of young gamers, I am beyond proud to have been a kid in 2003 who was able to be inspired by and grow up together with this amazing franchise. I'm truly taken back every time I hear one of the ORIGINAL original soundtracks, and can't help but to get a little teary eyed. Playing these games truly helped me navigate through some rougher and more awkard times in my life. Thank you for my chain of memories.
