I managed to identify the guy you called “Red Dwarf.” I heard it as “Brent Gore,” and sure enough a search pulled him up. Wikipedia lists him as “Brentley Gore,” and says he was a star on California Dreams, so I’m calling this case closed.

Videos like this make me want to go back. Not even to live in those times, this wasn't long before I was born. I just want to experience that room. I get the same feeling when looking at those pictures of store shelves filled with copies of Windows 95, I just want to be there and feel the energy in those rooms, ya know?
And you get to meet the mascots! That's something I really wish I could do. Especially the Spyro mascot. I love dragons!

Well that guy amazed by sonic 2's split screen you have to remember this was 1993.. gaming wasnt as big as it is now and honestly how many co-op games where you could go to different parts of the level were there?

They looked excited when they saw sonic really physically there and moving but when you’re older and it’s today and you realise that it was a cosplayer nearly 30 years later and just remembered it…

The name is actor Brent Gore. Also, if you grew up here in the 90's Jonathan Taylor Thomas having the most pictures isn't odd. He was HUGE in the 90s and had girls fawning over him like they do for Justin Beiber or someone now. They would have signs, magazines, and all this stuff proclaiming how great "JTT" was.
Was this in the book "Console Wars"? It's been a while since I read that one.

"today, were going to take a look at the sonic 2 launch partyu. im sure most of you have at least heard of a launch party. theyte held at the end of a games development as away to celebrate the developers months, even years of a games development. some treat it as a superstitious event, but some treat it more as a press event. theyll invite key members of the press, sometimes even celebrities to come to the party and give it one final promotional push before it hits the retail shelves. its quite rare members of the public or even fans? of the said game will be invited to said events but it does happen and quite often there'll be goodie bags even prizes are given out to people not directly involved with the game and regardless with fans there or not-- lots and lots of drinking. even if theres press, the actual party itself isnt usually well documented, in fact if youd like an example of a launch party which is documented slightly better than others, you should check out Playing Hard, which id about the development of the game For Honor, but i digress, today Im going to talk about the launch parry for sonic 2, for many years this was a bit of a myth, people knew it existed because its been mentioned in odd comments and carious interviews of various magazines and work sites, but as to wjat actually happened at this even, details were a bit sketchy and nobody except those who attended knew what it was like but over the years more information has come to light and it looked like quite a fun little event. and whilst they take a full look at sonic 2s launch would be fun topic, today i just want to focus on this one particular event, i think its scientifically impossible to talk about this without providing some context to just why this event was held in the first place, ao here id some extremely brief context"
