I can't imagine how desperate they were when they heard by the doctor that their son might have that disability. Nevertheless, they didn't give up on the son and brought him up to be a good swimmer and he even joined and won medals at some world swimming championships for the challenged. Sohyang must have known this story, of course, before performing this song but she didn't overdo the pain and sorrow, which, ironically, touched my heart more deeply.
