Species Pack | Out Now | Galactic Civilizations IV

Species Pack DLC and v2.7 "Taxonomy" are now available.
Citizens now belong to a Species, and those Species belong to a Phenotype and Biology respective. This gives the Citizens feature new functionality and a new user-interface in AlienGPT too.
The Species pack adds six new default Species to the game, along with user-interface improvements, and the ability to create your own customized Species, editing their various characteristics to suit your playstyle, and even uploading your own Citizen portraits and names. Your creations can be shared on the Steam and Stardock Workshops too.

I just hope Sins of a solar empire II portraits will be drawn by artists tho

So far, they've been using AI gen art for characters portrait. At least the game should be mod friendly so players can swap the art themselves.

I get the great practicality of using ai generation, but it steals so much warmth and personality which always stood out in GC series

@@TheReaper569 I think the main thing is that it can create a wide assortment of variations for all of the different leaders. That's not something artists could do effectively. However, I could see artists creating the main image that we see on the species selection menu, and then AI using that image to generate the variations.
