Yes Duncan we would love to see more guitar repair videos! The world is calling you! Your communication and laid back presentation are excellent! The World is waiting1. Thank You Country Cliff
Just checked all three of your videos (& subscribed too) - dear sir, it is very rare to see this level of solidity nowdays. Many of us (see below) miss that. Please keep posting these.
I am a huge DIY guy . I have built outbuildings , restored boats, cars , motorbikes and will tackle just about anything ....but my basses . I bring them to someone like this . I feel it would be like a surgeon operating on a loved one ...I just don't have the nerve and I want my babies as perfect as I can get them . I love seeing how it's done and how easy some make it look .
That's the right, very pro way to do this !...I just stick a couple toothpicks and wood glue in the hole and put the screw back, works great too for those that are not this handy :)
This and the fret levelling videos are the best out there - full stop! Thanks for your generosity in putting so much effort in, I hope you might do a guitar setup video some time, but if life has got too busy, here's wishing you well and thanks again!
RUclips ran on into your videos! the familiar accent held my attention! I enjoyed the videos very much (I used be full-time guitar tech doing re-frets etc myself not too far away from you I suspect! Your work is great but also eloquently, and humbly, explained which is refreshing. I really look forward to more videos Duncan.)
He hasn't been active in any way for far too long; no vids, no replies. I search the internet as well in case he started his own website but no luck. I hope for the best but I suspect he won't be back.
At last.... someone who has done this properly, ive had many an argument right here on youtube ...lol.... telling people that regular dowel and even worse.... tooth picks, are just palin "Wrong"... thanks.
Please make more videos I like your work I learned a lot see it your videos please Updown some video repairing hits or more damage in Body painting or finishing the paint a guitar please
Part two? Three videos, each one brilliant, are you still here, as in on the planet earth or have you gone to the great Luthier in the sky? Hope not, maybe you're just too busy with doing your superb guitar repairs to post videos, hope so! Slanté.
+ejlarson249 And because there is no guitar repair videos on my basically non-existing channel I am wrong person to tell my opinion? All right, man. My point was that when that guitar is burned, hit, abused etc. during a violent gig the fix will survive. For sure it is the strongest point in that guitar.
Y'all make think it's weird, but... I have fixed these with nothing more than a wooden toothpick(no glue) and these have held tight for 30 years. Then again I suppose if your guitar is made of some soft fluffy wood you may need the big fix. Or maybe I have magic toothpicks! Go figure...
You need to post more videos. We need more videos of true craftsmen at work!! Your fret leveling videos were amazing!!
Where did this guy go? These videos are amazing. Hoping he's OK and also selfishly hoping for more videos.
Such a great video of someone actually fixing the issue with a long term repair.

Some nice videos you have made, sir. I admire your attention to detail. More, e.g. a set-up video would be much appreciated. Cheers.
More videos please, they are first class (Y) Thanks for sharing your work
this is a very good channel, I just discovered today. It needs more videos. I'm subscribing !!!
Again, thank you so much for the instructional information in the video! Great job!
I'm still wainting for the 2nd part. Regards from Brazil.

@@duncanwallace7174 Eh!!! You 'inside'!?!?!?!?!!? What did you do?
it is certainly an excellent and detailed video ever. Thanks for sharing. :)
Good stuff. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any of these machines so it's wood glue and toothpicks this go around..
At last.... someone who has done this properly, ive had many an argument right here on youtube ...lol.... telling people that regular dowel and even worse.... tooth picks, are just palin "Wrong"... thanks.
You do some killer work, dude.

Great vid...thanks for posting.
do more of these please!
Great videos, do you plan on making anymore?
Just pva glue a match stick or two into the hole. Works like a charm and takes seconds.
Its 2020 bro. PLEASE POST MORE VIDEOS.
Most distressing that there's only 3 videos here. I wanted to see what happened to that Telecaster with the set up.
Great!!
More videos please!

Why no videos for 18 months?
A permanent fix? I believe that, this is more or less overkill method to do it.
PjotrMochkowitz takes 10 mins to do and works much better than other methods i've used ... that's a win - win in my book ... thanks for watching :)
+PjotrMochkowitz I checked your channel. No videos on guitar repairs. I am sure he appreciates your insight.

yeah takes 10 mins if you own a fucking wood shop.
When it comes to security and reliability it's better to be overkill than underkill. The toothpick and wood glue method works great too!
