Amazing podcast. So much information stated in a way I could comprehend easily. Motivated me in so many ways to do more. So excited to continue my research. I was disappointed in one thing, that you still can't stop time so I can do all the things I want to do......haha, Just kidding, it makes me appreciate my life, my children's life and those who came before us. The story needs to be told. Thank you so much for rebooting the passion I have for genealogy. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Love your podcasts. I will definitely share.

Enjoyed this podcast. Very helpful. Animoto seems as if it will be a great tool for reunions etc. Wonder if I can post them onto our Facebook page a closed group. I also took a lot of info away about using Google searches, it sank in. I have used Google & found a lot of info but now encouraged to go back & search even more. Enjoyed the DNA aspect too. Although I understood this (medical background) I found it useful to havd it explained in a Genealogy aspect. It is always good to rehash things you know. I did find the visual aspect of this podcast very interesting as you applied these tools to actual research. I am going back to the many matches I have with renewed vigour. Thank you for putting this together.

Quotes on google for at least half my searches don't work, it really just shows what it wants first. "George Gilcrist" 1840..1875 pulls up almost nothing that relates to the name George Gilcrist, in fact, it pulls up just the result of George instead! However, on the search engine duckduckgo.com it really sticks to my search parameters. Many people are noting this problem with google just ignoring symbols like " " and returning results as it sees fit based on ranking or whatever it thinks is "relevant" or "of interest". So if you have this problem you are not alone!

I ran a search for "George Gilcrist" 1840..1875 and got 2 results in Google Books. Remember, you are mandating the numbers when you include a numrange. I removed the numrange and received 126 "George Gilcrist" results on page 1, many from genealogy websites. (Of course, keep in mind there will always be a few ads at the top that may not be relevant. They are just ads.) The other thing to keep in mind is a mobile search can sometimes not be as effective as a computer desktop search. And, I would include last name first: "George Gilcrist" OR "Gilcrist George". Wishing you genealogical gems, and thanks for watching!
