You're welcome!
I really don't use Family Search enough! I need to do better. I get overwhelmed with all the places I should be searching. I never feel like I've covered all the bases.
My great grandfather lived in Rawalpindi in 1902 . It was part of India then but is now Pakistan. Would the records be found in India or Pakistan now when searching?
India didn’t exist in 1902. Wasn’t incorporated. It’s just Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas or the Indies/Indias in Spanish.
@@kts_solboy6216 Queen Victoria was proclaimed Empress of India in 1876. The British government took over its rule after the East India Company was dissolved after the rebellion in 1857. India did exist and before its independence was ruled by Britain. When India became independent Pakistan was formed and Rawalpindi became part of it.
@@lillianliber1798 it’s Asia, Indias is a Spanish word used to refer to the Americas. It’s 4 parts, Africa, Europe. Asia and America. Read the fourth part of the world.
