- Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Pilot speaking, my name is Tseno and in today's short episode you will see a Drag Race between the latest and greatest BMW M3 G80 xDrive Competition tuned with a Manhart power box to 630HP against a proper old school Porsche 911 997.2 Turbo with a widebody kit putting out 650HP. They are both automatic and all wheel drive so it will be one very interesting battle. Are you ready? Let's go!

Absolutely unbeatable
Clearly there is something wrong with the Porsche and the driver of it,....and I'm damn sure it isn't putting out the "650" HP claimed. Frist of all try it with a stock, good running 997.2 Turbo, then scale up to the 991.1/2 and then the 992. The 991.x turbo is a mid-10 second car, with the 992 even better - it will blast the M3. A good running 997.2 turbo is around the times as these races. BMW is making progress though.
The Porsche had a higher trap speed a the 1/4 mile and a faster 100-200 time, so it's clearly not launching well. I can't speak to the claimed HP but it would clearly win in a roll race based on trap speed and 100-200 times!

For the price difference, M3/M4 is a clear winner

@@chrissoubibi i know one vid that stock 3,6i 315hp m5 e34 from 1988, keeping with exactly like this Porsche(977) almost 20 minutes in top speed, of course BMW keep with 265kmh stock that Porsche make a lot more but he was chased from 25+ years old then BMW that is something that prove your comment is not valid :), if you want you can check the vid just type BMW grandpa in YT ;)

A rolling race would be interesting too.. It seems like the P driver can't launch the car properly 🤔
On the other hand the M3 driver launches it constantly great and he's able to maintain the advantage until the end of the race ✌

@Cars with Pilot Tseno I am a big Porsche fan..aftermarket bodykits not so much BUT that bodykit + spoiler on the 997 is incredible, especially from the back! Do you have any more information on it?

That Porsche is broken. Even stock the 997.2 Turbo S (with less power) was consistently MUCH faster than this in C/D tests.
Maybe something with the tune is not right. The owner will have it recalibrated
The Porsche numbers are not accurate! A 997 stock vs m5cs ran a 11.2 on carwow

I have normal stock 997.1 Turbo. Maybe my 997 Turbo runs faster than this “full tuned”Turbo.

I doubt your 997 will run under 11 sec. Standard turbo should be around the 11.6 mark.
that 997 isn't even any faster compared to a stock 997.2 turbo S with 530hp going by old tests from 2010

Car and driver and motor trend both pulled 11.0 with an automatic 2010 911 turbo. With a Turbo S, which is just 30 horsepower more, they pulled a 10.8 sec 1/4 mile.
The M3 competition xDrive, motortrend pulled an 11.1 second 1/4 mile.
This M3 has 130 more horsepower than the stock car. The 911 has 120 more horsepower than the stock car.
The M3 weighs 4000 pounds, and adding 130 hp is adding .0325 horsepower per pound
The 911 weighs 3500 pounds, and adding 120 hp is adding .0342 horsepower per pound.
Taking an already faster car, and adding more horsepower per pound to it, doesn't make it slower than stock.... This is a fantasy race for bmw fan boys lol
