I've been having some issues when I turn on the car and I'm thinking it's a clogged fuel pump since it's never been changed when I turn her over the engine will shake and get no real power like it's not receiving enough gas and idles low and will shut off sometimes I've added new spark plugs coil packs are fine alternator is still fine I run redline fuel cleaner through it also to make sure the fuel injectors are fine so the only thing I think it could be is a clogged filter since the car is all original from the previous owner
hi edbwoy just to check again im changing my fuel pump tomm 1 where is the fuse located? 2 i just remove the fuel pump on the passengers side correct? 3 what is the other fuel pump for on the drivers side? thks again
The fuse is in the box behind the battery. forums.nicoclub.com/topic614045.html?hilit=Fuses#p6734077 The left side communicates either level or temperature...or both.
Hey Ed changing my fuel Pump right now . I found the fuse box but which one do I pull since they’re all 3 letters abbreviations. I have a infinti m45s 2007
Bro, help me out. I have an 06 G35 coupe and I cannot get the pump to screw back in to save my life. The float should go in first but I think the Black rigged wire is stopping the pump from sitting correctly. Do you have any advice?

I wouldn't say replace is necessarily, but you might need to clean/wipe the float mechanism in case it's sticking. Have you by chance scanned the car for any codes to guide you?
Did cleaning the float mechanism work I’m having this issue sometimes it marks correct sometimes it’s way off? Or am I better off changing the whole pump no codes just marks wrong sometimes?
EdBwoy is it okay if I don’t drain out the line, I’m just changing the fuel pump so I’m thinking of skipping the siphoning of gas and draining the line just want to make sure it’s okay. Thanks!
EdBwoy one more thing fuel filter is embedded inside the fuel pump right. Because I couldn’t find any fuel filters for my 2007 m45s I think you already answered this in the comment replies but just want to make sure since working on cars is one of those things you can’t really take shortcuts on
Pulling the fuse is to relieve line pressure and avoid spills. The siphoning is up to you. I do it just in case the job takes more time than I planned for
EdBwoy great thanks Ed I appreciate you replying so fast. I bought my m45s from a shady car salesman because I was 18 and stupid at the time. And Seens like every few months there is a new problem. There’s atleast 5 things I wouldn’t have been able to fix if it wasn’t for you. I do use niccoclub and forums but they’re never as helpful as videos, and certain things like this fuel pump I can’t find any info on for my car besides your video, so seriously man thanks a lot. The good karma will comeback for u, these cars are so rare happy to see someone making an effort to help others. Thanks I will fersure pull out the fuse, last question sorry for bothering just want to make sure because I just ordered a fuel pump assembly. The oil filter is built into the fuel filter right, on other cars they’re replaceable so I’m just a little confused and that certain thing .0
EdBwoy okay thanks Ed! I successfully replaced the fuel pump on the Infinti m45s 2007 thanks to you. Read the description and it said the right side has the fuel pump just making sure but by right side that refers to the passenger side correct?
very confusing...2 seperate pumps.? whe i remove seat i cant see any of the plates. did you have to dig up thick black carbon type stuff. i have 2003 m45
71donkrider , Pardon the confusion. Only one of those actually pumps. For the 03 & 04 m45, you actually access the fuel pump through the trunk. forums.nicoclub.com/2004-m45-fuel-pump-location-t612700.html
+Noel Janolino You don't have to if it's a quick replacement. But if it's gonna be hours before you install the other one, and you're working in an enclosed area... you'll smell it soon enough. Plus I'm cheap, and premium gas is expensive so I took it and used it in my other car.
In the new series of videos I'm making, I can touch on it. But getting the water pump is as easy as removing the main belt and getting the 12mm bolts holding the water pump at the front. The starter is a little more hidden and I would say much easier if your car is not AWD.
+suay suavey for most Nissans you'll find 2 hooks at the front of the seat, but tucked under the cushion. Then pull the hooks while lifting the cushion up. Like these guys ruclips.net/video/osN7uu8K7Bw/видео.html What year/ model is your car? Does it have reclining rear seats?
Do the leveling on the fuel pump sit above the ribbon line in the tank or underneath when putting it back in
How likely is that the float can get caught up witht he cable or line thats in the tank, that black connector that connect to the pump?
Also is the filter connected inside the pump?
So what is the first thing you took out that looked like the fuel pump before you took the pump out on the other side

Ed would I be able to drain the fuel from the vehicle using this same method to gain access to the tank? I have old gas that needs to be drained. TIA
Siphoning from the tank/pump access holes is a sure way to get it all out, although I know sometimes people go in through the filler neck.

Looking back at the video, it seems all I did was make sure the ribbed tube is nestled in the groove on the pump housing. Then lower it straight down.
Where is the fuel pump control module located?
can i unplugg the fuel fuse relay?
If your going to do a video go threw all the steps even the small ones like removing the fuse that way people will know where to locate them

in a infiniti 2006 m45 the fuel pump is located under the back seat?

there should be a plug on the bottom of the tank to let gas out of, check underneath
