Seizures aren’t a bloody trend, they are life-threatening. As someone who has 2 types of epilepsy and subsequently a lot of seizures. I find this totally disgusting. My uncle died of a Grand Mal seizure in his sleep. His heart stopped right after he finished his homework. They didn’t find his body for three days. He was only 24 and was about to get married.

I think a reason that “famous” people get in more trouble for it than the average person is that many people (myself included) don’t know it’s a trend until someone famous does it. So it brings it into the eyes of someone that thinks it’s a terrible thing, or it encourages their impressionable fans to join in. I agree that influencers should think before they post, many of them have young fans that don’t necessarily know what’s okay or not and look to their favorite celebrities to see when something is or isn’t okay. If their faves are doing it, they probably think it is okay.

Yes!!! Seizures are scary. I’ve been on 3 different meds for them but it still scares me. Each time I have one they have to take my license away for 6 months. It’s a very serious issue.
My dad lost his sight in one eye, had to loose his job, stop driving and lost the ability to do many things because of an intense cluster seizure. The seizure one is not funny my sister has epilepsy and we didn’t find out till 4 years ago and they said that she has 2 types of seizures penny and grand-mal and the one is u have it when u are sleep and u don’t show any movement my sister has to take pills and she says nobody sees how it changed her and nobody understands how it feels and she has thoughts of what if she doesn’t wake up tm and she hates it because it’s so weird waking up from a seizure and not know what’s going on when i wake up so I don’t think it’s something to be laughing about 🤷🏽♀️🥺

My brother is diagnosed with epilepsy and has had several close encounters, has been hospitalized, and has to take 13 pills everyday in order to control his seizures. No matter the amount of time that has passed they are still scary.. for him for us his family. 2 years ago I started having seizures, and am just going to throw out that it's a absolutely terrifying experience for most types of seizures if not all. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It's hard to find out what causes them and the meds are terrible, mentally and physically.

I think a reason that “famous” people get in more trouble for it than the average person is that many people (myself included) don’t know it’s a trend until someone famous does it. So it brings it into the eyes of someone that thinks it’s a terrible thing, or it encourages their impressionable fans to join in.
I agree that influencers should think before they post, many of them have young fans that don’t necessarily know what’s okay or not and look to their favorite celebrities to see when something is or isn’t okay. If their faves are doing it, they probably think it is okay.

My dad lost his sight in one eye, had to loose his job, stop driving and lost the ability to do many things because of an intense cluster seizure. He passed away in a seizure 4 years ago. it is NOT a joke, just because it is a trend does not justify it. It is traumatic for the people who have had to watch their loved ones.

The seizure one is not funny my sister has epilepsy and we didn’t find out till 4 years ago and they said that she has 2 types of seizures penny and grand-mal and the one is u have it when u are sleep and u don’t show any movement my sister has to take pills and she says nobody sees how it changed her and nobody understands how it feels and she has thoughts of what if she doesn’t wake up tm and she hates it because it’s so weird waking up from a seizure and not know what’s going on when i wake up so I don’t think it’s something to be laughing about 🤷🏽♀️🥺

My brother is diagnosed with epilepsy and has had several close encounters, has been hospitalized, and has to take 13 pills everyday in order to control his seizures. These kids don’t get how serious seizures can be and joking about them is super hurtful, especially when they joke about it ultimately ending their lives.

TikTok jokes about seizures are absolutely not funny for those who know how upsetting they are, especially after my dad passed away from a seizure last year. I definitely feel people on tiktok do not grasp how it can affect people to exploit and make fun of real serious issues
My brother would have seizures as a baby and toddler. At the time I didn’t understand but now I realized how life treating it is and how glad my brother is still alive
my friend almost died from a seizure but her brother found her before and had to rush to the hospital but she jokes all the time about the trend. it might be offense to some but not all
But you can make anything offensive because at least one person has been affected by it. The seizure trend isnt that bad, i wouldnt say someone died from it, but the trend isnt even that bad.

Seziures aren't something to joke about I had a girl in my class with epilepsy and a boy thought it would be funny to flash the lights on and off and next thing you know she's on my lap thrashing around on the floor with her head on my lap. It was scary and her eyes were rolling back in her head. That boy was a disgrace after that day.

I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

My bf suffers from seizures, he literally had one yesterday! I cried my eyes out because it was his grandmother who told me over the phone, and it gave me the idea that he had passed away.
