External Entrails | Silverlens New York

The exhibition ‘External Entrails’ brings together four artists from Southeast Asia: Nicole Coson, Corinne de San Jose, Bernardo Pacquing, and Arin Sunaryo. Taken together, these artists’ diverse motivations and distinct creative processes prove the ability of abstraction to resist convention. Their primary interests might be what they can do with materials, though the layered realities of life in Southeast Asia also inform their work. -Marcus Civin

There will be a drop-in viewing of ‘Batang West Side’ by Lav Diaz at the gallery on Saturday, 17 December, from 12 to 5:30pm. The feature is screened in collaboration with Corinne de San Jose, who is currently exhibiting her new sound installation at the gallery. De San Jose has designed the sound of several of Lav Diaz's films.
