I have a1999 same color. Not a lot of mods, low mileage 76 thousand miles on it. Had it for 4 years , no issues, had a sqeaky pulley replaced. Absolutely a beautiful car & a joy to drive. I get a lot of compliments.

C6 is much easier if you don’t know how to work on your own cars it will give you less problem. The C5 is a lot older so it will give you a lot more problems than the C6, c6 is the same price of a c5z06
Great cars and great deals can be found now! The fixed top cop has back window and a trunk rather than a hatch. It’s almost like a notch back mustang. And then of course no targa top-it’s fixed. It just ruins the roof line in my opinion.
@@irishkelly654 Yeah completely subjective. I will say I like the z06 better than the base frc. I’m not sure if they are actually different, but the z top always looks different to me
I owned a (new) 2000 C5 Z51 manual coupe (black on black). It was bought back 11 months later under Lemon Law, and then I bought a new 2001 Spa Yellow S2000. I really liked both cars, although minivans were entirely capable of smoking an S2000 off the line! The C5 was the cooler car to drive and be in.
I don’t think I referred to it as a 350. 350hp maybe but I dont think I referred to it’s displacement. In any case, 5.7L is about 348 cubic inches and as auto mfgs have done for decades, they round up slightly because it sounds better. Just like the mustang 5.0 is not a 302.
And you can make it just as fast or faster than a z with simple bolt ons and a tune. Then, on top of that, you can have a targa top or convertible top, which is better than the frc.
I have a real video for u to do bud . Talk about mods on a 2016 2.0 q50…… down pipes , turbos , tunes, etc…… you’ve never showed love for us 2.0t … it’s hard to find a down pipe n tune for my type of car ….. let’s talk about it…..

I daily my 2001 C5. I have long tube headers and mid pipes but i want to keep my stock cat back to keep the noise down.

The c5 or c6 is definitely a drivers car. Light weight with plenty of torque. It will be dramatically different than your Audi!

The C5 Z06's only came with the fixed roof coupe (FRC). Hit google images...
