Great upload, when you say “Backup before upgrading the SRAM” Do you mean back up the whole system? Including settings and Original Sounds, I’m asking this because I don’t own those. Or just sounds in RAM memory from floppy disks we been working on? Thanks for the help
Hey Alexandra! Just backup the USER banks and your Sequences, if any. The factory sounds will stay there after the reset. Your USER banks and sequences will be deleted after the reset. USER banks will filled with a duplicate of the 1st user banks. Just like a factory reset.
I know the asr/ts is compatible in many ways BUT is this 4x8 ram sold as ASR ram? All the ram I see listed strictly for the TS is only the 2x4 ram you said to avoid. I’m a TS newbie btw so forgive me if it’s a stupid question Lol

Good evening, how are you? I have a TS 10, I didn't turn on the keyboard for a while, now when I turn it on it no longer calibrates, can you help with this issue?
@@ALANPEREIRA-ik2vr does it say Calibration Failed? These have 7 or 8 fuses that can blow, I recommend checking them, there isn't much else I can help with. I don't use my hardware keyboards much anymore. And I am not a tech.
The RAM is for sample memory. What's needed to load EPS and ASR instruments. I don't think you will lose anything by swapping the RAM. But I think it is recommended to do a factory reset after updating the RAM. A factory reset will clear your stored memory.
It's becoming hard to find. They are 8-chip 30 pin Simms. 4mb per simm. Non Parity RAM. Memory Masters has some on eBay. There are some used listings as well.
It will erase. The OS and any samples have to be loaded every time you power on. You can save sample banks and songs to disk, those can be loaded faster. ruclips.net/video/MPMp_OVRDv4/видео.html
@@HankCoffey thank you my friend! I am specifically wanting to load the ASR's sampled piano titled "Westlake Piano" abbriviated as "WESTLAKE PNO". Wanting to load that into my TS-10. I was really wanting to save it on a 3.5 but i was told by another that because it is 11 MB big, near impossible to be able to load it as 3.5 floppy will most likely need to go the SCSI route and load it either CD or Zip. Unless you have any other suggestions on how i would do this?
I run external SCSI2SD on TS series because it is read only, and use a Gotek in the floppy slot. On Kurzweil and ASR I just install SCSI2SD in the floppy slot. I don't mess with my hardware much anymore ruclips.net/video/8tnqNxEZUGg/видео.html
Thanks for these guides, I've just upgrade my TS-10 with a Gotek and 8MB Ram and it seems to be doing fine!

Can you please direct me where i can buy this exact RAM? i have been looking but no avail
