Fuck OSHA, they're not the ones pulling orders. In certain scenarios it's a must to ride with forks up at least an inch off the ground like when going into a pallet. The forks on these single pallet jacks totally touch the ground and will break the pallet or ram it back if it's too light, causing you to spill the product on it.
Great video! I start out on these things (we call them electric pallet jacks in Aus) next week and your video helped get an idea of how to use them, they look so fun to ride.
The pallet jack you was talking about is called a rider not a walkie. The walkie is actually you are either towing or lifting an item off the floor. As a person is walking with the pallet jack.
once you can drive a car you can handle them all with some practice and guidance from an experience operator or a trainer. Great question!!!!. thanks for sharing. be sure to subscribe. I appreciate your engagement Raymond Harlall
Sit down is just like driving a car, except you steer from the back instead of front. Stand up is different in terms of steering. One joystick does the lifting, the other steers the lift. It takes a lot of time to master.
@@nick989tobi few days means how many days? Because i just was working one day with electric one just to push and pull not to ride. But it is hard for me to park the pallets exactly where i want. Take the bends and etc. I am affraid that i would not learn it. Im thinking to go to that work or not. I have never driven a car. That is also a problem may be. That is why i am asking. Thanks
@@lifeinczechrepublic6430 Personally, a week max. I got the hang of it within like 3-4 days. Not being able to drive a car is fine, don't worry. It just takes practice and hands-on exercises. You'll get the hang of it, trust the process.
I don't think your cameraman was listening to you you were talking about picking up the skid and showing how to do it💯$$ he was looking at your body or something?? dude pay attention👋 to what's going on👌 you need a new cameraman that has Intelligence of his own or understands what's being said
pump trucks came about in the 1900s, powered pallet trucks (walkies) came about in the 90s but weren't really affordable for most warehouses until the mid-late 2000s
I'll give this video a 5. HE'S JUST LIKE PLAYING IN THE WAREHOUSE. You need to improve your explanation, demonstration. and overall presentation. Thanks anyway.
First of all before you make a training video get better understanding of the equipment you doing the video on its call a epj(electric pallet Jack) or ride on Pallet Jack a walkie is a type of e.p.j with the exception of not having a platform to ride on there for having to walk the equipment instead of riding it to operate.
Raymond - I give you full marks for effort but you need to seriously verbally abuse your trainer. Wow! So many misconceptions. It's not a walkie. It's a ride on, "pallet truck."
Lift your forks up slightly when riding around. Eliminates a lot of excess noise, plus they will grab when going up and down ramps.
yea you r right. its 1 of the crapy ones... was the closest on to me when making the video
Aaron C OSHA says otherwise

Push the rabbit button on it and it's almost like an electric skateboard with a handle on it.
Instructions start at 02:00

Thank you😁

How come you don't have safety glasses on, high visibility vest since you're operating a powered equipment, & maybe steel toe shoes.
Good video, I bet you will get promoted to supervisor very soon
can you make another video with more details about the electric pallet jack
Lol... There's not much more to talk about.
i am looking to work uline in auburn wa thank you for your help you are awsome

Did you used to work at Roper Brothers Lumber?
it’s called a BT RAYMOND TRANSPALETTE
I'm thinking there is ALOT of turnover in that line of work.
It is.
Working in a giant tigar wearhouse in Canada and you would be surprised how many people love the job
How many days it took you to learn this?

Throttle.
But you should spell it right throttle
In the UK, we call them 'butterflies', because the F-R switch resembles the wings of a butterfly.

It's actually called a tugger. I used to build these at an old job and I currently use one at my job now
Dude what’s up with your accent

It's a walkie if it has cruise option where you can set it on coast and walk along side it while pulling product.
Yeah, a walkie ride is different.
At my work they call it a 'Walkie-Rider' on the safety certificate. I think calling it a Ride On Pallet Jack makes the most sense.
