No kidding. I'm not sure why I've always liked Miami - been a fan since I was kid in the 90s. They're my 2nd after alma mater, which after yesterday vs. Tennessee, it's going to be an interesting season.

When Miami is great for some reason college football is so much more interesting. Alabama has been great over the last decade, Auburn, and Ohio State. But they don't have that spark like Miami does. Hard to explain. But when Miami was great in the 90's and the first few years of the early 00's, college football as a whole was interesting. The 2001 Canes squad was and is the best college football team ever assembled. That team got me interested into college football.

Though they underachieved after being so dominant when Brock Berlin took over at QB. Ohio State is so traditional and boring. Wow! Miami looks like a National Championship caliber team. The execution on offense is masterful. Not a bad defense either. I can't wait to watch Miami and Clemson Saturday evening. That should be a great one. I am giving Clemson the edge, only because I think their defense is going to be a little bit better than Miami's. It's hard to beat Venables on defense, and that is what I think the game will come down to: what team can better stop the other team. I think it will be a great game though.
