Yeah ummm it really doesn't matter how you read it but it seems like Bridget in all the endings is moving towards accepting who they are and that really seems to be being a girl. Like on god watch every ending and tell me that's not how it reads

Daisuke stated that all conversations are canon and that Bridget identifies themselves as a girl now.
She's a very cool character, I love her yoyo style!
I wonder what's canon in this disaster, over 20 years Bridget history was supposed to be canon, but now Daisuke said he's a girl? , He didn't even care about writing his OG history or correcting what is supposed to be canon until 20 years later, and then he wants us to believe Bridget was supposedly meant to be a trans since the very beginning?.

The people in the comment section doing mental gymnastics to try and convince themselves that she’s a boy is funny and depressing at the same time.
Like just in this play through you see how uncomfortable/uncertain she is when she says she’s a boy vs how she sounds really happy and confident when she says that she’s a girl, or how her entire storyline is about discovering and accepting who she truly is.
Also y’know. The creator of Guilty Gear went on record in an interview saying (and this is verbatim) “After the events in Bridget’s Arcade Mode she self identifies as a woman. So, as to whether ‘he’ or ‘she’ would be the correct pronoun for Bridget, the answer would be ‘she’.”
If you’re still insisting that she’s not a gal after the creator said she was, I’m sorry (not actually) but it’s just transphobia at that point.

@@arturintete2461 i should've phrased it better but I mean that the people who try to deny the fact Bridget is trans have never felt what having gender dysphoria is like, so obviously they're going to be ignorant about the entire situation and try to psyop themselves into thinking she's not trans - basically what the original commenter was saying.

Quick summary for any newcomers: Bridget was born in a village where it was seen as a bad omen to have twin boys. As such, his parents dressed and raised him as a girl. Wanting to prove the superstition wrong, he made a name for himself as a skillful bounty hunter. Going into GGS, though, the progression of his story is 100% determined by your skill as a player. The story changes depending on how, or if, you've lost.
Capping at stage 7 with either a heart loss or a flawless win will result in a heart to heart between Bridget and Gold about running away from your problems. If you make it to stage 8, but lost a heart in the first stage, you'll get the talk between Gold, Bridget, and Ky but Bridget won't identify as a girl. If you lost a heart between stages 1 and stage 8, you'll get this ending. If you make it to stage 8 without a loss, you'll fight Ky solo whom, win or lose, will offer advice on being uncertain of your future.
Only if you make it to stage 9 without a loss, where Ky fully releases his power to fight Bridget, will bridget leave feeling upbeat and somewhat confident in his abilities going forward.
So, sad to say, there is only 1 ending out of 9 where Bridget identifies as a girl, and the ultimate ending results in Ky inviting Bridget to visit him and Dizzy in Illyria, remarking that Dizzy would be happy to see him.
Alternate endings aren’t any less canon, and none of the others (from the script leaks, because nobody saying ‘the true endings say he’s a boy’ actually upload the clips which would prove their point, sus) have her assert she’s a boy
People are already putting their head in the sands on this one, it’s incredible to watch in realtime
A character can open their story with a line about “uhm… you called me a girl, but I’m a … boy”clearly uncomfortable, and have multiple endings, all of which talk about “you should, for your own sake, be honest to yourself about who you are,” and gamers will still contort themselves into knots trying to pretend trans people are fake
@@escape421521 the “true ending” people are talking about is one where she is talking to ky and it’s pretty ambiguous but doesn’t say anything about living as a boy, only about making a decision to go public about painful things and making that decision for yourself. Transphobes are calling the other one a “bad ending” because they can’t deny what was said. But In the flawless run ending they can deny and make up whatever interpretation they want
@@escape421521 if the character accepts being trans doesn't that kinda show you can be forced into the opposite gender, which ain't that good a look. It also defeats the whole point of what he does, which is to prove he can be a man and his village's omen is BS?
I think it's better if we all view the endings as canonically "what ifs"
If Bridget wins, he finally proves to his village he is a man.
If Bridget fails, she realizes that maybe she is a suppose to be a women.
I think it's better that way and allow people to use any of the what if's as their personal headcanon.

but of course, how can we assume this, it’s just the creators of the game literally stating something that’s in the game, maybe we look back at the game, how about the song for Bridget?
The song is about her wanting to feel happy with who she is, but she keeps blaming herself for being unhappy. the instruments are barely there at the start, but as the song progresses, more instruments get added as a way to say she’s starting to feel closer to who she wants to be, and the song feels pretty much complete, as if she’s fully there, but she still says she’s to blame for not being happy. finally at the end she accepts herself and the lyrics “I’m the one to blame”, which have been there throughout the entire song, are now Drowned out, and an entire new verse is added to say “I finally found myself and I’m finally happy with who I am”. this song alone is one of the best depictions of Gender Dysphoria i’ve ever seen
But of course, as you say, Bridget is a Boy, so please, with all of this proof otherwise, explain why. And if you can, please add a point for all 3 topics I touched on

Edit: still canon, but there is alternative ending dialogue if you do a flawless run, in the same vein as this ending’s dialogue imo
