Question: You are saying that Data factory Ms Fabric has data flow which you can use to apply transformations with power query, But Azure Data Factory has power query too, so Azure data factory and Fabric data factory offer saw services?
Hi you seem to assume the On-premises/gateway source is not available right now in Fabric, have you seen this mentionned officially? However I am trying to use a HANA on-premise source since last week without success, always get some obscur error message. Have you tried?
Hello Reza. I have a question about microsoft fabric. I still don't understand how the data import part works. For example: I know that, when we want to fetch some data, we can make a connection with the data source, which could be Oracle, SQL, Excel, .... What is different from fabric? Will there still be the connection or will the fabric become a Data Warehouse? That is, we will be able to "update" the data, becoming our own database. In short, I still don't understand the benefit.
And, we are not early adopters so... This will be in the distant future for us. I can't even get a workspace which has the ability to build a Datamart.
Please can you do a complete video on Microsoft Fabric talks about Data factory, datawarehouse and power bi in details. 2-4 hours long comple video will be greatly appreciated.
I have Power BI Pro and Power BI Premium licenses. I was told with this I would have access to most Data Fabric services like lakehouse and the spark notebooks. I'm trying to create a PBI monitoring dashboard and came across a solution that requires me to create a Linked Service in Factory. My question is: can I do this without incurring additional costs through this Data Fabric and Data Factory integration or do I have to purchase something separately to make it work?
thanks for the detailed explanation!
Glad it was helpful!

Will be much better when MS implements gateway/integration runtime for the on-premises data refreshes.

Can we start using this? How do I access these workloads and services? Are they free?
Yes, enable Microsoft Fabric in your tenant and use a trial account to work with it
I explained it in another video in my channel
@@RADACAD That's what I was afraid of. I work for a global 100 company so, I am not switching on anything in the tenant. 🫤

I don't think we would do that long videos in RUclips, however, we have separate videos about each already in the channel
