The really cool thing is the animatronics are practical effects not CG. Like, they actually built moving animatronics for the movie!

Welcome to more lore than you could possibly imagine. I found the movie to be pretty good. It may not be perfect, but it has a lot of great things in it. The animatronics are amazing, made by Jim Henson, the Muppets guy's company, by the way, Matthew Lillard is amazing, and it's clear they did string the lore together as best they could.

Also glad u enjoyed it! U nailed the breakdown of the film at the end from a general audience perspective, like with how it wasn't necessarily bloody ect and how the movie has so more than just a simple plot but had lore and depth. And for a fan it's amazing so very glad.❤

I went to the cinema with my sibling, and they are HUGE fans of FNAF, and I just love Josh Hutcherson so I had to see it. I really really enjoyed this movie, and I'm glad you re reacting to it. Love your videos as always!
The friendship between Abby and the animatronics never fails to get me honestly
So, like, the blonde kid who talks to Mike in his dreams, lured the babysitter into the backroom and woke Abby up, is the child possessing Golden Freddy. That's the mangled animatronic that's shown behind the aunt and at 28:23 , that one's not the same as the Freddy that's on the stage.
In the games, this suit was possessed by two children I believe, one of whom is Mike's little brother who died because of a bite on the head from that animatronic. Though I don't think we're supposed to assume that Garrett's body was hidden in that suit as well, that's why there's a audio bit saying like "It's Me" before the first Balloon Boy jumpscare, its a nod to the first game. When Golden Freddy shows up in the office at random it'll glitch and It's Me flashes on the screen, as he's trying to communicate with his brother.
The other animatronics are just kids who're under the influence of Afton. So seeing them have those few moments of innocence, of that childhood that he stole from them, just makes me so emotional.
Seeing them get to play with another kid and be just kids, even just for a little while.
William Afton is a sick fuck, seeing him get impaled by the suit in live action was *so* satisfying. That's the way he died in the game, he tried to hide in his old suit that he used to lure the children away with (that's what's shown in the opening credits, it's William killing the missing kids.) And because of the moisture in the room, the spring locks were triggered and he was left in that backroom for like *Years* in a neverending cycle of just agony. He cursed himself when he put on that suit, when he said "I always come back" he meant it. Seeing them drag him away while the room fell apart and then the future shot of the blonde kid watching him twitching in pain in the kitchen 😘👌 perfection
Also, the little knife clean at 32:43 is a nod to Scream cause Matthew was in that too. ❤️ And there's 7 RUclipsr cameos as well!! The waiter in the diner is a popular channel Game Theory who's done a Lot about Fnaf, as well as the cab driver ❤️
The Balloon Boy is a character from Fnaf 2, I think it's funny that they just put him in as a jumpscare skskdjsk

The kid luring Max is actually the Freddy kid (The classic Freddy)

I remember in the theatre, a lot of people sound so disappointed when they see that Abby is becoming friends with the animatronics. But me, I waited, I have that feeling that will turn against them. And I was right(ish) 😁 Moral of the Story: Always wait, don’t judge too quickly ✌️
I don't really understand why they would be disappointed by the animatronics being friendly with a child when that's been an established thing since the second game.
I never played the games, but I knew it wasn't going to end that way, I figured there was just more that we weren't being let onto, and that the animatronics playing was just a pause from the suspense, so I had no reason to be disappointed.

Bro, I have been waiting for this one and I'm super excited to watch it now!! I'm definitely more of a casual FNAF fan (I don't know every single detail of the lore), but I still had a fun time with it!! It definitely felt like a movie made with the fans in mind and I always appreciate film adaptations that do that!!

24:53 those spring locks are doubled in both animatronic and suit. You tighten up the rods so you wear but be careful when you get wet or hit something hard because you get wet or something the rods will snap loose and pierce right through your body slowly killing you inside of the suit

Answering your first question:
Yes, they all can talk.
On the first game, we can only hear Foxy's singsonging (the same tune he hums every time he attacks in this movie, he will sometimes singsong it from Pirate's Cove) and Freddy's Toreador music box song. However, on some other games, they have actual voice lines and speak directly to you. (NO SPOILERS, just some voice lines and descriptions)
Freddy's voice turned a little glitchy over time, but is very deep, kinda soothing, and his lines are surprisingly friendly (and more than a little creepy sometimes). He will sometimes offer to be your friend, like, "Now, now, all that fear there isn't helping either of us.", "Aw, you look down. Would you like a hug?" or "You did your best, and that's all that counts". He will also sometimes taunt you with lines like "It looks like someone wasn't ready for Freddy to come to the party!" and "Bet you weren't expecting me to show up early, were you now?".
Foxy was a storyteller in his golden years. But considering his disrepaired state, I was expecting a lot of screeeeeees and interferences, but his voice box sounds surprisingly clear, better than Freddy's! His tone is uplifting, very fitting with his pirate-esque persona and accent, and his lines are violent, a little trigger-happy, and quite funny. “Yer stuck to the ground like a barnacle on the ship, aren't ya?”, and “Dead men do indeed tell no tales! Yar ha ha ha!”.
He's also the only animatronic who will tell you something, notice it sounded very strange and backpedal to clarify. "Shall we parley? Yar ha ha ha! Just kidding.", and my personal favorite “Argh, I came for ye booty! ...(Nervously) That be treasure, y'know.”, proving he is painfully aware most pirate expressions turned embarassingly flirty over the centuries.
Sadly, we couldn't hear Chica and Bonnie speak until their voice boxes were very broken and glichy, however, we can undertand them if we force our ears.
I guess Chica's voice used to be a little raspy and high, but it was too glichy to truly know. She has some really sweet lines like "Come closer. Let's smile together!", but she also has a very angry and sadistic side, and will threaten you with bodly harm "Let me show you how to break your face and look like me!", has a kinda flirty sense of humor "I never thought I’d make it through that vent, but now, we are together" and also seems to remember the day of her ghost child's (the blond girl) murder "I was the first, I saw everything!"
Bonnie's strangelly (but fitting, after we get over the shock) very masculine voice was also broken, he is very well aware of his disrepair, including his entire face missing, but he's also very sarcastic and makes tons of face related jokes about it, to a point we don't know if we get sad for him or laugh with him. He's also aware he turned far scarier like that, and kinda loves it. "Might as well FACE the facts, you were always destined to fail." or "Time to FACE the consequences of your failure!", and another of my personal favorites "You blinked!", sounding a lot like he was just playing a staring game with me.
However, sadly, no voice box is more broken than Golden Freddy's (the blond boy who killed aunt Jane). Because his connetion with his ghost child seems to be stronger, he will try to speak about him, and in a very glichy way, will repeat his last words and screams to us. It's very sad and disturbing to listen.
30:15 in the games, Vanessa was from FNAF: Security Breach and in there, she's a night guard too except she gets possessed by a virtual version of William
Speaking of the games, Mike was William's son in the games and his daughter was a girl named Elizabeth
Elizabeth was accidentally scooped up by a clown animatronic named Circus Baby and eventually possesses the Baby animatronic and change from blue eyes to green eyes
As for Mike, he was a jerk to his younger brother and accidentally got him killed on his birthday. Later on in the series, he would become a night guard 4 times, first time in the first game, the second time as a hand unit at an underground facility which he got ended getting scooped by his possess sister and becoming nothing but a rotting corpse and later as an owner of a Freddy Fazbear place and then gets burned alive along with the other animatronics found including William and Elizabeth

I love the movie. Everyone in the theater I was in lost it at Golden Freddy and Cory cameo.
I'll say the same thing I've said on other reactions (I’m even copy pasting it this entire comment from a previous reaction video);
I honestly believe the friendship between Abby and the Animatronics is completely genuine. It's only when Afton's influence over them do they try to harm her.
Afton probably told them to kill Abby with the reason being if she was one of them, they could play with her all the time.
The souls trapped in the animatronics were children who were just happy to have a new friend.
Also, in the first few games, it's mentioned that the Animatronics are hostile to adults, but passive and friendly to children.
This movie surprised me, I'm not a FNAF player but I browse the pages for the games on TVTropes. It's definitely made for the fans first and the practical effects used for the animatronics are phenomenal.
This is an absolute favorite of mine. I’ve been a fan of the game since it first released. So I was very happy with this film!

Afton is more in a slow, painful death. But that statement he always comes back in that yellow rabbit suit will come to fruition.
I’ve been waiting for you to watch this! Also, I think this movie’s closer to the book lore than the game lore.
If you want to watch more Josh Hutcherson, you could definitely try Zathura if you haven't already, it's a spinoff of Jumanji, and starred Josh Hutcherson when he was still a kid, and it's my favorite of the entire Jumanji series.

I watched Markiplier played FNAF Games for like multiple times. That's why he called himself the King of Five Nights at Freddy's. Also, I watched RUclipsrs or FNAFTubers played FNAF Games in FNAF Compilation vidoes. That's why Matpat, CoryxKenshin, Razzbowski, Baz, Dawko and 8-BitRyan are in the FNAF Movie. Don't get me wrong, my sister and I went to see it in Cineplex and she makes up as the Puppet.

I took my 3 kids who are 9,8,& 6 and they along with me absolutely loved this movie & can't wait for the next one to come out.
I ended up wanting to be friends with them all too ❤
And In my opinion I think this is a great first horror film for kids who are as young as mine because it doesn't actually show the people getting killed but you still know they died. And there is barely any language & the story is easy to understand where they can follow along.

If you have never seen all or any of the “Scream” movies I would love to see your reaction to those. Especially since it has very likable characters. I don’t know how much horror/thrillers you’ve watched but those films are personally my favorite.
I never got into FNAF, but a friend invited me to see the movie. Except he didn't schedule it ahead of time, so I was literally watching my sibling's play (they're an incredible actor, they've been working in theaters since they were 16, they've been volunteering as a councelor in theater camp, it is so awesome!), and I had my phone on mute while he was calling/texting me. So I've never had an opportunity to see this movie, but my friend really enjoyed it at least!
I'm not sure what the moral of this story is. I guess always check someone's schedule before inviting them? Sometimes you need to make decisions between spending time with family and with friends? Plays are just as fun and engaging as movies? Concessions are way too overpriced wherever you end up going? Commenting on youtube videos is a great way to help out a RUclipsr because it boosts them in the algorithm? I ramble way too much? My sibling is super awesome?

in the original lore mike is Willaim afton son and abby is William afton's daughter and instead of garret he was called the crying the child and his real name is evan who was killed by fredbear when mike put his body into the animatronic mouth and mouth closed on him and he was also Willaim's son and Willaim went back to the old location and took the animatronics' apart and there soul's followed him and he went into the spring-bonnie and moved to much and the lock's activated

He's more spirit than animatronic. He possessed by two children, one of them has a deep hatred for William and while the other was his son in the games
Golden Freddy was once an animatronic called Fredbear from a restaurant long before Freddy Fazbear's and was also another spring lock suit like Spring Bonnie the Yellow Rabbit
Another thing Golden Freddy was a name given by fans during the first while in the game files he's refer to as Yellow Bear
Great reaction. Not a big fan of horror or thriller movies, but I just had to see this reaction.
If you want to see Mathew Lillard star in another role, I highly suggest “Scooby Doo”, and “Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.” He plays Shaggy (Norville) Roger’s, and he does a fantastic job playing the character.
If you want to see more Josh Hutcherson, I also highly recommend “Journey To The Center Of The Earth”, and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” These roles he’s quite a bit younger, especially in the first Journey movie.

I’ve been a fan of the franchise of Fnaf for a looong time, ever since I first heard of it, maybe from 2014 or 2015. I loved it. I loved the movie so much. The games weren’t gruesome, and people complain about it. Though most horror movies that or pg-13 usually have gore, even most of kids shows. But honestly, it’s a horror movie I like a lot. I haven’t really seen a lot of horror movies.
If you're brave enough to watch them, I politely suggest Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey, and the Mean One.
He should also react to The Banana Splits Movie and Willy's Wonderland

Hey Nick, I'm a fan of your channel. I'm not really into Five nights at Freddy's. I like some scary movies, but I've never been interested in FNAF. There is a movie that I think you'll enjoy that I like a lot. It's by the same studio that did Coraline which is one of my favourite movies of all time. The movie is called Kubo and the two strings. I absolutely love that film and I think you'll like it too. It's both funny and sad but it's got some intense scenes. I think you'll like the designs of some of the characters if you ever have the time to see it. I'd strongly recommend tissues. It does a good job of making you cry but you'll also laugh as well.

I saw this in the movie theatre on Nov 4, 2023, I was not too fond of it, but it’s was ok 5/10 seeing the incredibles 2 (which was the last movie I saw in a movie theatre prior to the five nights at Freddy’s movie) was way better, but I loved to playing the game Five Nights At Freddy’s for 8 years now 🥹

I really liked the film although I do wish it was more faithful to the original games and more vague and with darker blue colors, like Guillermo del Toro, but this is an otherwise a very good film.
