All of their complaints don't matter. If the Captain says they are off, then they are off. He is the absolute ruling authority on any flight...per FAA authority. If you want to fly: sit down, shut up, and follow the directions given. If not, get the F off the plane. Period!!

I live in an area where there are towns close by with high concentrations of orthodox Jews, and although I've passed through those towns and dealt with their inhabitants on many occasions, I cannot recall a single time that I (A non-Jew) was treated with respect and courtesy by these people. If they treated the flight-staff the same way, it's no surprise they were ejected.
Over reacted? This is not a playground, or a classroom where you get second chances from distracting teacher and other students. Once a pilot gets distracted he's putting lives in danger. Phones interfer with radio waves which are needed to stay on course and warning of air traffic. I'm yeah they over reacted because an over reaction was called for.

BUT there are certain things required by law that passengers listen too and there are certain requirements, how ever lame you think they are, that are required by law. BY LAW its not a choice, the pilot and the passengers MUST do them. like it or not. so as a pilot i'd rather kick you off the plane and be seen as a jerk than be find my self with a violation of the regs.

I simply do not believe that an airline captain, and the whole crew, would toss off 100 people because of religious prejudice. Those kids must have been a royal pain in the ass. Will this be a lesson to them? Will individuals be singled out once they get back to school and be punished? Let's hope so.

The only thing that those kids didn't do was to sit down. They also never shut up. I expected a certain amount of hyperactivity from high school-age travellers, but this flight was the longest lifetime I'd ever spent. It took me two days to get over the headache. Lord willing, I will never travel with a high school group again. I've managed to avoid it now for about 30 years!
Interrupting a flight is a federal offense. If you take one step out the door of the plane it is no longer a federal crime. Those kids are lucky they weren't arrested. What were the chaperone's doing when all this was going on? I guess if something goes wrong in your life it's just easier to blame it on racism etc. That way they don't have to take any responsibility for THEIR actions.

I believe the airline here. I can fully imagine 100 kids causing havoc on a flight. It's not a school bus it's a plane, they should have chartered their own private flight.
I find it hard to believe the crew would go through all this trouble without a good reason.This experience teaches the students about responsibility but I can see the adults are already portraying them as victims which will have the opposite affect.
That’s what happen when people travel in group. There is always a few clowns who want to impress the rest of the group. They think that being rude and unruly is a cool thing. And the fact that the rest of the group cheer them up makes them even more daring. I am glad they got kicked out of the plane. This happened to me when I traveled to Florida with a group of college students for intersport university tournament. When flying back, some students were drunk. Good think is that only those students were kicked out of the plane and one of the instructor had to stay with them.
My gosh if you can’t listen to rules and do what you want for the safety of other people who don’t have to put up with those who won’t listen to Rules. Always can’t understand why some people uses racist or discrimination when they are told not to do this or that. Chaperones should have told the students to sit, put on seatbelts and turn off their cell phones. They are over seeing these kids and they knew they weren’t obeying. You are their leader to teach them. Sad how because of not obeying the rules that the trip was ruined and hopefully they all had a great time wherever they were going.There is a reason why the cell phones needed to be turned off when they tell you to.

Nothing is worse than unruly older kids except a screaming baby.The captain made the right decision in booting the whole group of kids and chaperones! Hopefully the kids learned something from this, it was a school trip and they got schooled. Hopefully there were a lot of standby passengers to take those seats.
Dear me. 101 students were kicked off the plane because they didn’t follow the direction. And I live in an apt 101, and drove down highway 101 many times before I donated the car to St. Jude. I just don’t know if I were to live up to 101

The school officials, chaperones and parents did not discipline and inform these children for trip. They should have been told to behave, stay in their seats and do as you’re told. This is an airplane not a damn school playground. Get with the program.
I don't know how one acts "Jewish", but I've encountered very off-putting attitudes from almost every orthodox Jew I've ever met or dealt with. It seems that some of them think that non-Jews do not warrant the same respect or consideration as other Jews do, and it's usually abundantly clear when one of them thinks this way. Of course, anyone from any religious group can be all uppity and think that they're better than everyone else. It isn't unique to orthodox Jews or Jews in general.
Being Jewish has nothing to do with being ejected from plane. That’s like a couple and their child were ejected from plane “ due to body odor.” Even before they boarded several people said they had an issue with personal hygiene. No one wishes to be confined in an airplane with passengers with body odor. That’s torture. The couple said they were ejected because they’re Jewish.
People should know that an airplane is a public place and you shold have some respect for the others in other case you are commiting federal offenses an in this cases a group of student they have to make a great chaos to be get out of an airplane. it is easy to respect rules.
I totally support the airline company's flight crew and pilot for kicking ALL the students off the plane. They messed up the trip for 100 people. Their fellow students should be allowed to straighten out their little teen attitudes among themselves.
