You betta' Preach, Girl!!! Everything you said Totally Resonated with me soooooo much. Oh My Goodness!!! I am in training to be a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I desperately want to do Adventure/Eco/Outdoor Therapy with couples and families because I LOVE being outside in all kinds of weather. I want to travel the world with my family as well. This is a huge dream for me. I'm taking the steps to make it happen and trusting God on my journey. But I do have moments that take me back to my public school days and make me think. How on Earth can I make this a business for myself and sustain my family? Is this too big of a dream? Am I being realistic? Am I smart enough to do this? What if I fail?
This video was so encouraging to me. It makes me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. Thanks so much, Lucy. You are AWESOME!!!

I can relate so much, especially on your last belief about not dreaming too big. Please share more!!!

Love how you observe the unschooling culture and then put emphasis on making it practical.

Really glad I found this video - a lot of it resonated with me. I've definitely tried to undo some of my money beliefs over the last few years, and can totally see what you mean about how they can all be linked back to school. I read Rob Moore's book Money a couple of years ago and he spoke a lot about this belief around money being evil and rich people not being noble and to be scorned etc and how that belief holds us back so much. I've started a youtube channel and not afraid to say yes I would love it to make me money so that I can afford to live in freedom and keep home educating my kids - and also hopefully one day to show others that they don't have to work for someone else if they don't want to either. But a few years ago I definitely would have felt like I can't do these things and *want* to make money. The competition thing too - so true! School is all about having to compete and be the best and other people have to fail where you succeed. So thank you for this video - it was really interesting. Sorry if this is a bit rambly it's late here and I'm half asleep 🤣

Hi Lucy. Ive been almost obsessively following your vids and podcast appearances as I adore your vibe and also am an off grid Mama (in Scotland) interested in unschooling (my 1 year old). Thanks for ALL the epic content. Its gently blowing my mind. Currently following my intuition around work and mothering, taking an extended break from work (thankyou privilege) to focus on my family. HOWEVER I still have dreams and I resonate with how you talk about us women being taught to stay small. My little dream seed is to hold women's moon circles that are accessible for free to build local community and provide the space in service for those of us keen to meet women in circle regularly. I am SO scared haha so learning to say Fuck It to my fears of being judged or rejected and slowly gather the dream so it can manifest properly. One day when I return to earning money I will come back to what you say about marketing ethically as I have struggled as a SE person to build a client base though marketing as it feels so icky and I am not great at it lol. Will keep an eye on your work and courses. Thanks for being yourself and sharing your imperfect wonderful humanness. ❤ do more of these rambles please, you're very entertaining 😊

I want to take a moment to thank you. You were right, my 7 yr old will learn. He learned to count money and make change playing monolopy. We got him an incubator, he has hatched chicks, raised turkeys and Guinea fowl. He sold his first bird dressed for a couples first free rage, organic turkey for turkey day. He is saving to buy more chicks in the spring. We are eating the roosters, they tasted so good. I showed him how to skin it and pull innards out by hand. I’m so proud. I trusted the process, cause of you. Thank you. Happy turkey day, bless you and your fam. ❤️

I needed this. Thank you! Especially rhe part about being radically imperfect and the wounds that school has left. I'm constantly overthinking how i say things, spelling and grammar. It's exhausting. Screw it! Lol. That last bit gave me life! I deserve to live my dream of taking my cat and kids to live abroard! Dispite what others think. Your experiment was a success. x

I would like to share with your a little insight.
One can and should move past "Belief". Most are stuck in the very limited paradigm of "belief", which is simply a not knowing.
I started by eliminating the word from my vocabulary.
Why? Well... When you learn, as I believe you have, about resonating. Asking and listening to your heart and trusting same, which can never be wrong for you. You are moving past the stepping stone of "belief" to your "Realization" this is personal Development, (the main purpose of our existence throughout all our lives) have Faith in your Realizations not your "belief"
I started by replacing the word "belief" with more correct expressions, like "I'm convinced" , "my current perspective on the the matter is" etc...

I've been looking into Havening, thankyou for that Lucy. I've now learnt that the type of tapping that I was taught has elements of Havening in it (the eye movements and humming). Will explore further 🙂

Grotesquely wealthy capital owners are indeed toxic and destructive. We will never free ourselves or one another through individualist business ventures or financial freedom discourse. It is of course important for moms to find paths where they can survive and thrive within a capitalist framework where possible. Internalize a positive sense of self worth and right to thrive. Offering accessible encouragement and confidence building so people can assess their needs and path can be a really positive thing.
The systemic structures that keep the vast majority of people in poverty or wage slavery are very real. The existence of large swathes of people living precariously is a feature of the system, not a bug. Continued commodification of every aspect of our lives is a feature. The development of influencer culture and self branding, the monetization of everything, these things exist within larger contexts.
Financial freedom discourse and content comes in various forms. I don’t think it is inherently bad- Though this type of discourse can slide into, or is often directly rooted in, very rightwing thinking and worldview if it’s not properly contextualized. There is a reason why “financial freedom” content has an increasingly large footprint alongside growing wealth inequality and austerity.
I’ve followed your vids on your other channels in the past and appreciated a lot about your insight. Cool to see recent content posted! I hope you are well!
