I enjoy your videos over here on a homestead in Missouri usa. 1 thing I struggle with our unschooling is my son is 6 and has no desire to read or write. Will it be okay?

My son had no interest in reading or writing until 7. After only 3 month he is now reading little books already… and almost all just by himself 😊😅

My oldest daughter didn't catch onto reading until 8 1/2. Then within 6 months she went from reading things like beginner 'Dick and Jane' books, to now she is 9 and reading at least 1 middle grade novel a week, if not 2! She loves to read, it's amazing to see! But every child is different, some will read at 4, 6, 8, 10. We just have to be patient and hold the 'reading' space with them, so that they will have a love for reading!
But also to remember if they aren't seeing 'you' read for fun and enjoyment, it'll be less enticing for them to want to read too.
