    I have a Steyr CLII Mannlicher in 3006. Love that rifle. Much better to shoot than a Tikka lite l had before it in the same caliber. Only downside is could not get it with a set trigger.

    As you put it on fire the bolt cracks up and cocks up your stalk...this system is and has been from it's inception useless, pointless crap.

      What it does - locking down the bolt handle, that is - is block the firing pin. It’s a useful feature when hunting, I find. And if you hold the bolt handle when you roll the safety wheel into the middle position, you can ease the bolt up from jt’s locked down position. That sounds complicated but it’s easy in practice. The safety system itself is light and smooth to operate and it’s well placed under the thumb. Works for me, anyway

      @@user-qc1bd2iz8w had two of the rifles and ended up not using the lock down part of the safe bolt system. Barrels are hard as nails having threaded an SSG back in the day.
