- REVIEW VIDEO, it's just my opinion! these aren't mine, they are loaned to me for written articles and I'm totally independent to say what I like
My primary role and full-time job is to produce written reviews but RUclips and social media is growing quickly so please follow me on Facebook, “Chris Parkin’s Shooting Sports”. Or Instagram “chrisparkin431” for regular updates on what I am using, what’s in for review? I do not organise special setups for smooth video; you get real world footage of my experiences with the products in question. I’m not paid for content or to advertise my opinion on RUclips so am free to give MY OPINION, yours may differ. Mine is based on eleven years of paid professional written reviews of shooting equipment in magazines in England, U.S. Europe and Scandinavia. I do not buy items and have no reason to say nice things about what I have invested or wasted my own income in, I just say it how I think it when I encounter it. Hi Chris . Always good to see how a professional cleans his rifles . I have a similar process !
Keep the films coming, they are interesting and informative.
You forgot the most important thing, always end your cleaning of your barrel with gun oil if you used strong cleaning like solvent otherwise the barrel can get rust damaged inside, i have made that mistake many times in the beginning of my shooting career
I never do that, nothing goes in but dry patches and I don't have problems. Ut if you use very aggressive solvents, do what works for you
Hi Chris , would you put an oiled patch through the barrel last as a normal cleaning process or only for storage?
If it was long term storage and going to get cleaned before use again then yes, I would use anti corrosion protection
What precisely do you mean by 'soak'? Does this mean slide a patch wet with solvent through and then wait a few minutes before putting a dry patch through?
How often do you clean? After every use or after a certain amount of shots? Thank you.
when i find it necessary for functional or long term storage requirements
Chris do you follow the same process for rimfire? Specifically 22lr ?
no
@@chrisparkin431 any chance you could do one on rimfire cleaning or at least your take on it - whether it’s required, frequency etc please?
@@davidlevine9569 just do same thing and experiment yourself with your own ammo and barrel
