ਸਾਲ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਾਫੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ 2.21 ਲੱਖ ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਹੇਠ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ 9 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਔਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀਨਗੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।

That's not a easy task brother. For this we need a large area. Without dam it's very difficult to hold the significant amount of water. And it's not easy to create a dam. It will vacate many rural and urban areas.
And protests is also a major issue. For Katra expressway we have seen protests in Punjab.
Now, you can imagine, what would happen if government planned to create a dam in Punjab.

You know, the main goal of the any political party is to stay in power. For this, they will do everything, they can do. For them the most easy thing is to make public please. For public like us they gave us free electricity, free ration. But we forgot these things are not very important for public like us, we can got it by ourselves. We need good roads, 24/7 electricity, clean water. For this government need funds. But government funds are going in many unwanted things like free electricity.
I want government giving us free electricity in Punjab. They should charge for it. And should made good electric infrastructure for us like underground wiring. But it's very difficult for government to charge for electricity again.
Now, i don't think, this is the fault of government. Fault is our because we want free things. If, we want 24/7 electricity, clean water, good roads. Then government will automatically divert these funds.
