I recently received a brand new electric mountain bike from my sponsor Haibike... A 2024 LYKE 11! Just picked up my first E-bike. A Giant Talon E. It literally transformed biking for me. I ride a Dirtjumper (when it’s just me), but I have two kids to sling around in a bike trailer most of the time. E-bikes make it super easy. The only people hating on them are the ones who have never rode one.

Be careful with the giants! Bearings in the motor like to go. My trance spindles went out in my syndrive motor after a bit too much trail riding.
I love your new ebike. My first emtb was a Haibike Allmtn 2.0. I can’t buy any of the new Haibikes because they pulled out of the United States market. Haibike was my favorite brand of ebike. I love them. They made me feel like an abandoned spouse. I am glad they didn’t abandon you.

Crashing a new bike on its maiden ride has to be some sort of ritualistic thing. First ride out on my Nukeproof Megawatt, I hit a tiny tree stump that was hiding amongst some grass at the edge of a downhill section, at about 25mph with my pedal. Yeeted me about 15/ 20 feet OTB into the bushes, bending the crank arm so much that the pedal was facing backwards! Thankfully no damage to the motor, which for an EP8 is pretty lucky.
Nearly two years on, the bike is still going strong and I avoid that line at my local like the plague😂

They finally made a nice looking frame.
no hate - but nice looking is still could be a high copy of some other bike geomerty, but that is still a mockup of a bike, cause it is the first time they go to horizontal shock alignment - that particular frame design can even damage the shock itself and mounting bolts...need some years to pass the durability test. But yep - looks nice)

Less power but way harder to balance!
Haibike should use only Magura brakes, they snap after a crash, not before...doing nothing 🤣

Those grips don't match the color of that bike at all. Don't get ne wrong, they're cool grips. Their color is the opposite of "match" though.

First trip after new bike, straight to the computer to order new brake blade so Kara can ride again. So Tom, how much easier has the e-bike made it for you to do your trials? That last line was pretty slick.
