pilar Herrera Gracias Pili, besos.
a gem! thx for sharing.
Fantastic performance from all concerned and what a solo from piano man!!!!
Enjoy the great wee bit of whistling ! he's so good, enjoyed him live from 10 ft away, lucky me !
Slide tromobes..the real deal...FANTASTIC
Wow! What a brilliant video of the fabulous Four Freshmen. Thanks for posting it Dan.
Killin' it, Doug!
Even though people are making comments to the contrary; Bob Flanigan said this was the best four freshmen ever, of course after the original.
That is arguable. They don't approach the vocal qualities of the 1950s through 1960's Freshmen. The old-timers were lightening in a bottle.
The group sounds great in this video!
From the same time period as the Four Aces in the 1950's? Perfect. Love them!
Brian Wilson told me to come here
I am in trombone heaven! Thank you for uploading this treasure.
In spite of all the commercial pressures from pop music producers, jazz still excites the intelligent men and women of America enough to keep this fantastic genre alive and well.
A good sound comparison between Doug Elliots Schmelzer Trombone and John Jensens King 3B.
Yeah, those of us who know all the parts off by heart, having the instruments improvise rattles us a little, oh well, love it all. Just wish they would come back again, saw them in Kelowna BC.I should write and encourage them, eh?
A great track! If you want an even faster rendition, try the version on The Four Freshmen Live in Holland (2004). It's one of the swingingest ever!
soy Chileno y siempre he cantado a cuatro voces como los cuatro duendes y otros pero desde hace muchos años estoy interesado con mis hijos en probar con canciones de los four freshmen en inglish como I remenber you, Ponciana, girl from Ipanema, gradiation day , The day isn't long inough, Is a blue world thank very much.I live in norway and theare dificult to get some thing like that.
1:49 T- BONE SOLO
Tasty trombone solos
The only thing I can say is let the trombones add some shakes at the beginning of the arrangement!!!...Good job
Good players & group, but quite a departure from the original!
they had 5 trombones backing them on the record then

Yes...nice. But the original group was the defining template.
