Excellent video congratulations, it is enough creativity to make a very complex instrument. Two questions;. What dyes do you use to darken the wood? ..and the second question; How did you distribute the space for the fretboard?
Fantastic job you have made. The finish on the whole guitar is first class. I'm in the designing stage of my own at the moment. Can I ask you the size and suppliers of the pickup, pots and bridge? Sir Great build video and the music was easy to listen to. What was the peace of cord you put under the bridge and does it serve a purpose? It was disappointing to end so quickly. I'm going to look up the CDs. Thanks for a great build and introduction to some cool new sounds.

Lovely Lap steel. The finish is beautiful. A few questions: 1- Is that Mountain Ash? 2- Is the scale length 22 1/2 inch? and 3- Are the frets scored with a laser? I'll bet it sound great.
Thanks! The wood is White Ash, which is actually unrelated to Mountain Ash. The scale length is 23 inches. Yeah, I cut the fret "slots" with a laser and filled them with aluminum chips and glue. If I had to do it again, I probably would've gone with solid inlay, I don't really like the way these frets turned out.
You seem to be a master at this build, but the music on all 3 parts is is terrible and out of context , should'nt it be lap steel than a beginner pentatonic scaLe guitar?? You'd get way more subscribers if it wasn't for that horrible music.. Ask Martin Gross permission to use his lap and dobro music i'm sure he'd be okay about it..
I can't change the music without taking the video down and uploading a new version, but I'll definitely try to pick something more appropriate for future videos!
@@shorelineguitars4195 Thanks for the video.. Traditional hawaiian steel guitar music is the only appropriate, IMHO. That way, we get a better idea of what the guitar actually sounds like. Single strings in the lower mid range in particular. Nothing wrong with mood music, but it should be the guitar you're showing.
