Man these commercials teleport me directly to my childhood I remember them all it gives me goosebumps 😊 I saw the first home alone and who framed Roger rabbit both in the theater it was amazing 🤩
Funny, I hear the Stetson commercial jingle and I knew exactly what the product was. I never used Stetson but it is amazing that I can remember the product commercial over 30 years later like I just saw it yesterday.
12:28 - The weasels in Roger Rabbit (Smart Ass, Greasy, Psycho Wheezy and Stupid) were a parody of the Seven Dwarves names. I remember in the NES video game, Smart Ass was renamed Smart Guy for censorship reasons.
1:18 We actually still have our copy of Babes in Toyland somewhere. I miss when restaurants would sell you movies, BTTF-inspired sunglasses, or other things.
Duracell- “No Toy Circus Acrobats were harmed in the making of this commercial. They were well compensated for their time and became Christmas gifts for some lucky children.”
McDonald’s- I remember those Cabbage Patch Kids toys very well. I believe I had the doll with the brown hair, holding the stocking and Teddy Bear on the bottom right corner at 8:40.
Own one of the home alone 2 posters and owned babes in Toyland and beauty and the beast both on VHS 📼📼 my Mom was babysitting other people's kids at that time and was something to put on ah 1992 a solid year
It never really dawned on me just how much of a cultural hit Home Alone 1 and 2 were until I watched more of these commercials. One never gets tired of seeing HA every holiday season! I would've loved to own one of those posters too had I been around then.
0:01 - John Cleese showing off some things I dreamed of having as a teen, especially the portable CD player and camcorder.
08:14 watching a retro commercial about nostalgia for nostalgia...inception overdrive

"Through The Eyes Of MacGyver".
He has also gone slaying!
9:48 Boy, did Richard Dean Anderson ever find a role no one would ever mistake for MacGyver.
Lost In New York is the best sequel, imo

4:16 - No Lumiere? I guess if kids wanted to recreate Be Our Guest, they’d have to have Cogsworth sing it, which just isn’t the same.
JC Penny- I want that sweater that the woman is holding at 9:59. I like the design of the multi colored shapes against the black background.

1:16 - Going from Dances with Wolves to the Keanu Reeves Babes in Toyland…Talk about your dip in quality…
