I think one of the coolest part about reanactments is that everything you do is adding to the experience. Every mistake is making everything more realistic.
This was really amazing and so awesome to watch. I wish I was 30 years younger and not disabled so I could do this as well. 20 years ago I was a kind of collector and was gong to do reenacting but, life and God had other plans for me. The helicopter crash ended my military career and my marriage as well. It was excellent watching this and is what I would have imagined it would have been like. Combat isChaos, you are correct there. It really good to see you have fun and learn a lot about what the greatest generation gave up for us. Please keep this type content coming. God Bless !
Thank you for making content like this, you are my inspiration for getting into reenacting and I hope to be able to soon! I still have a few articles I need to collect and I still am missing a few parts of an authentic uniform, but hopefully someday I’ll be charging the German halftracks with you!
That’s morning battle was such a mess. I got captured and brought back to the German rear. Then our captors left. I stayed over there for a little then moved up and got recaptured by some SS. THEN we captured the SS
That half travk comes to a lot of my local museums reenactments it hosts, grate group and we found a way to mount a replica pak 40 the museum has in it
good common question..we do not use anything but blanks that are inspected, as well as the weapons. You take a hit, if it looks to the public you are in a direct line of fire. or if the battle calls for casualties .
@@johnbarnett7092 oo ok it would be better if you use a proyectile (obiusly not a bullet) you could use wax bullets or maybe rubber bullets with less gunpowder
Once I was running up with a group of guys and idk what I did but my leg gave out on me and I fell on my rifle and hurt my stomach. My leg was in so much pain it felt like it was coming out of its socket whenever I moved it. Let's just say the screams i made were very convincing because I was in so much pain trying to move my leg. I told the guy who was the medic and he went along and treated like a leg wound. Omg my leg was in pain for a few minutes before it went away.
The blank round still expels hot gases out of the barrel, which is why you keep it away from others around you. There's also the fact that if something does go terribly wrong and you do accidentally fire a live round, it has far less chance of hitting someone if you shoot over their heads. I also think it might be a practice carried over from Civil War reenactments, where a small bit of paper is actually shot out of the barrel.
@@KermitTheGamer21Kermit?! But thanks for the info, also my uncle used to civil war reenact. The best memorie i have from that is my uncle pretending to get shot like 3 feet from us and my brother (who was like 6) went to “help” him and everybody around him laughed. Later after the event ended the “company commander” came over to talk about how when he’s older he could be the medic for their company
I love the “I’m gonna do X, Y, Z, then I’m gonna die. Alright let’s go.”
😂 a true suicide mission
@@WorldWarWisdom yeah, been dreaming sometimes of fighting with you and occasionally dying in reenactment events
Seems a little too Japanese for the European theater.
I think one of the coolest part about reanactments is that everything you do is adding to the experience. Every mistake is making everything more realistic.
The fact that the German crew on the half-track was confused added to the realism of this reenactment, since combat can get confusing.
That was a great reenactment man! I was the guy right on the right side of you in the trench.
Really? Thats so cool!
Really cool I was fortunate enough to be in the crowd. Truly awesome thing.
What's the name of the reenactment group and does it have a website?
If it wasn't for the public on the right hand side, I would say that it has the look and feel of a battle.
It’s to educate the public

Same here. Disabled and stuck with my trusty bed 🛌 and wheelchair ♿️ I sleep a lot more often than when young 😴
That G.I. at 8:40 running and gunning was pretty badass
True
Please post more footage of this battle it was AWSOME
Thanks! I have more on the way that I’ll be posting throughout December!
I loved the first video you posted too
When you faked getting shot the screaming was on point
@WorldWarWisdom What airborne unit are you in im hoping to join an airborne unit for reenacting ww2 preferably one in Ohio.
@@WorldWarWisdom Can't wait!!!
Watching your videos I learn so much more about ww2 and you have inspired me to get into re enactments

I'm in the same spot but I don't have any gear or uniform pieces since i'm brand new, but best of luck to you!
“AHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHH save my life doc”
“I’ll try my best”
You talking to the crew of the sdkfz251 was the highlight for me
Good to see the garand in action!
I burned my hand during a battle once. When I died while running I rolled right over my hot barrel lol.
That’s easy to do unfortunately. Hope it didn’t get you too bad!
@@WorldWarWisdom thanks! Still got a mark there but I don’t mind really. It just reminds me to always be careful.
It adds to the realism haha
Tell everyone about your old battle wound.
man the reenacting group you’re in really likes Lauer farms
Haha well it was a 3 day event so I have tons of videos from it!

Listening to those mag dumps, sounds like this gets rather pricey for the ammo
8:11 bro that big scratch is crazy
This gives some insight to how combat scenerio might have been. Great video sir.
And man that paratrooper with the Sten MK II is dripped out not gona lie
I love this stuff on my surround sound system at home .
I love watching these. I wish I could do that .keep em coming 👍
This was pretty amazing I liked this, if it weren't for the public it looked like a real battle scenario
2:46 that man sounds like Captain Miller from Saving Private Ryan
Your right gaha he sounds like Tom Hanks
It’s so funny how your M1 Grand is just jamming like crazy and it dose not care 😂
The thing i always think of is, do you guys go back and pick up all your casings to reload as blanks again?
That turned out great
Thank you! And thanks for lending me your sticky bomb
How do you recover all those clips your Garand threw in the trench and across the field? Great video!
If you watch closely he stops to pick them up after they eject.
Kilroy was here
Great video man
Great video 🦾🦾🦾🦾
Thank you!
@@WorldWarWisdom Not It all i hope to see more videos
That looks fun wish I could join
They look so fun to play
You don’t play you act
Have you ever had a blank rowned go into your eye?
Awesome
Thanks!
Hey man, where you based out of? We do some WW2 reenactments ourselves usually as the Wehrmacht. Always looking for other channels who are involved!
I live in Ohio, so I mostly go to events in Ohio and the bordering states. Where are you guys based?
@@WorldWarWisdom awww too bad. We're pretty far out. were in SW Missouri. Close to Oklahoma and Arkansas.
What are you guys shooting at each other? Blanks? I am new to reenacting and I really wanna get into it. I just need to know what to use 😅.
Blanks, but check with your new unit for the right type, I get my ammo form Sportsman Guide
Thanks 😊
Nice video!
what a toss lol
so how do you feel the hit?
i see that the bullets are empty right?
or they have like a bb inside?

you could use wax bullets
or maybe rubber bullets with less gunpowder
They kind of just play dead, but this would be cool with airsoft or bbs.
Even rubber bullets would get wild. It's gonna hurt like a mf but you'll call that hit.
@@bryant7542 maybe the could just add less gunpowder to the cartridge
that would mean less speed right?
So where exactly do you get all your gear and stuff?
I’m wanting to get into reenacting.
Do they give you ammunition or do you have to supply your own?
You have to supply your own for these events
Does it hurt your ears it seems loud in the video or are you just used to it
It is very loud, but I wear ear protection to avoid hearing damage
The kid you talk to before you get shot is another youtuber named Avery moseser.

Im assuming those are all just blanks right? No non lethal projectiles?
Tell those guys by the barn to get down . !
Where did you get you'r M1 Garand?
Your amazing
This that m1917 revolver as your side arm?
Bro the medics accent 😂💀😭✨
When is your next reanactment?
I find it funny but resonable that even tho you’re firing blanks you still don’t point your barrel at anyone but the enemy

Do you do any world war 1 vidieos
Even though, If I would "Die" I would not want to be infant of a crowd
when it says reenactment does that mean its BB's or just roleplay
How do you take part in one of these
What if you get hit with a bullet?
I thought he was loading his fired shells not blanks💀
why is this so similar to hell let loose experience
Spectacular
Someday I want to be him.
is it just smoke shooting out or are people shooting eachother w a soft pellet or what
they are shooting blanks
What happened to your hand
It’s probably for the reenactment?

How do reenactment grenades work like airsoft?
No some just make a noise sound and explode but not too deadly I’m not sure about grenades but there probably like the guns
Do you have a discord server?
O waw that's are reaally real bullet?! Imagine a kid dress up as a youthsoldier HitlerJugen crossing the line of fire.
No there blanks
I was the one dressed in military gear I'm a kid

are they real bullets like how does it work
I got the same question man😂
They use blanks
Its neat how into it people get lol

i would have totatlly botched that throw lol like slammed it on the ground fail...
What if they did this with airplanes to
some re-enactments they do
They fly them with a pilot
If possible, can you comment Wisdom
I hope a clip of live rounds wouldn't be on you. Alec Baldwin moment
