I like all these guys and they are smart to prepare but short of nuclear happenings, the biggest fear on their minds should be of their own government. Not foreign invading armies. Keep up the good prepping guys.

How would gold help him barter in a disaster, war, or nuclear situation? The value of gold is based on the fact that you could get money for it. That smoked meat would be worth a lot more than gold in those situations.
Gold "is" money and has been since the beginning of time,...it will retain it's value,..

Think of it like this gold will be your money for when stuff starts rebuilding if stuff starts rebuilding again it's been a currency since the beginning of time so it will be valuable at one point but I wouldn't trade with it at the start of shtf it's a long-term thing
In a war..i don't care if you found a gold piece the size of a grapefruit....i prefer hands on necessities...like food, meds, protection....u can keep your gold!

All the preppers are amazingly resourceful but for survival my bet would be on Jimi and his cats. He has the most intimate knowledge and awareness of his habitat, the keen sensitivities of an animal in the wild. Plus a buoyant attitude.
My cat brings me "presents" all the time!!! My girlfriend hated it...Cali (short for calico) and I are still together...don't know where she went!!🤣

His cats don't know how to hunt. They are totally dependent on him for food, and by the looks of them, he feeds them well.
I’m a combat veteran of the Navy and Army and I can tell you from experience that no amount of prepping can train you to kill another human being, no matter how much weapons training you have.

Didn´t the training with human shaped targets get introduced because most people won´t shoot someone else in a war? I remember something about 50% of the kills coming from 2% of the soldiers before in WW1 they trained the soldiers to shoot at humans, not targets.
@@SirMarshalHaig Yes, there are half body metal silhouettes that are distance and timed for marksmen qualification and full size human dummies in cqc training buildings but that’s as far as the military goes to train in a safe environment without having training casualties. When you hear rounds whizzing by your head, your fight or flight response kicks in and your adrenaline takes over the fear.If you ask someone who has been in combat, they will tell you that the sound of a round resembles that of a huge bee flying by your head. The majority of the time you can never see a weapon being fired at you in Afghanistan because of the terrain’s mountainous region. I hope that answers your question. The only difference is all elite units use “live” rounds when training for combat ops.

I love doomsday prepper show but sadly there are no more prepper shows.
Doomsday prepper show is the anther reason why I am a prepper. The other reason is that this country is going down because of joe biden.
Cindy's family makes me nervous. 3 days into SHTF and they will turn cannibal. The other 2 guys are cool. I could see myself being best friends with either one.
I was thinking the same. There's no way after a year of living out in those sticks wouldn't have skinned neighbours hanging from lines
Jimmy is a lot more positive, sociable and less xenophobic than all the preppers I have met.

the irony is that cindy’s preps are 80% self defense, but that would mean that SHE will be the one looting if they dont have enough stored.
Their prep is probably closer to 90% defense. All the food prep they have is meat. They would circum to scurvy before the invaders get to them!

i feel that a breech loading/single shot rifle in a doomsday setting is less than ideal. but its better than nothing

Reality is thats all you need.
If you end up getting into situations where you need more than that, chances are you will be dead either way in that type of situation.
That smoker is a great idea. Sometimes the hunting and fishing are good and sometimes not. Instead of plastic bins of noodles or rice with not much else, you can add smoked meat to the kettle and make a tasty meal.
The point of this show was entertainment. It didn't show the rational side of prepping. It didn't show "how to." They could make an entire channel on "how to," but people would rather be entertained. I've been through week long power outages and layoffs. People in the US have suffered through tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and just this week, train wrecks causing massive chemical spills. You should be prepared.
This is not meant to help or entertain.. it's purely propaganda, meant to confuse and distract.
• Notice the preppers they choose with little to no guns
• Notice the mention of "Climate Change"
• Notice the lame debunking statements from "experts" for every scenario
• Notice the multiple mentions of 9/11

The last guy is going to be extremely disappointed if we get hit with a massive solar flare. None of his radio equipment will be operating.
It`s pretty easy to shield it radio equipment. HAM radio operators will make needed repairs to any damaged equipment and be transmitting again fast.
If you feed your cats well, they will not hunt mice anymore. And Adam Stewart is such a sweet kid, he has great parents who try to teach him valueble information for the upcoming years.

You have to live 50+ miles from any town to not worry about unwelcomed visitors in a forest, so it's hard to supply a lot of food there.
My husband and I are prepping… maybe we are a day late now. But, one thing I do know for sure, if National geographic ever came back with where are they now, or the new preppers I wouldn’t volunteer to be on that show.
My number one priority is my family. Protect them, and I will. I wouldn’t want to give away my location, my state, my meals, anything.

When they drag the kids into worrying about doomsday everyday it bothers me, I grew up like that and it sucked, and ruined my childhood and my early adulthood

I fear hurricanes and having no money for electricity. So I prepared for this. Solar powered air conditioning, cooking, refrigeration, mowing, tilling, water distilling, etc.
I think they have fun prepping and secretly want an apocalypse, its not fear its ignorance

My cat required no training. He was a big mistake from a breeder, half serengeti and half Russian blue. Even though he's a gucci hybrid, he hunts anything that moves. He's annihilated the rat and mouse population of my neighborhood and even had my dog only neighbors warm right up and spoil him. They said they were losing their minds trying to get rid of pests until he showed up.
I'm relevied that the surviving people will fight each other to death.

We had barn cats when I was a kid. We didn't feed them because they were eating the mice for us. Occasionally, they would take down a rabbit. I can see where he got the idea, but his cats would have to be more feral in order for instincts to kick in. Either way, his cats won't be of use.
