  • I’ll apologize for the awkwardness of this video here, I don’t normally talk in front of a camera, and zero planning went into this, maybe I’ll get better?, but none the less I’ve owned this car over 20 years, it was my first “race car” even though it’s nowhere close to that and never has been. It’s what got me started and I’ve managed to hold on to it while I built a real car for the track so I thought it was worth sharing. Thanks for looking!

Good start on a great car. I know you'll do everything right. It will be great when it's done.

Awesome! I'm doing this to a 72 swinger, was wondering if you already had a factory v8 k member in the car or if you went aftermarket like QA1?

It’s actually a factory slant 6 k frame. Schumacher makes mounts for the slant 6 and v8 factory kmember, also, if you aren’t using headers, the factory manifolds from a 2012 jeep grand Cherokee with a 5.7 only need a little clearancing to fit .

@michaelyielding that's what I was hoping to hear! though schumacher had their mounts listed as pre-order for some reason, my swinger is a slant as well, though it's currently motorless lol thanks for the jeep tip!

Cool. Always dreamed of doing that to my 69 notchback. Good luck.

It should be driving this year at some point, it always finds its way to the backburner, and it’s just one of those things you have to decide when to stop and call it good enough. My main goal at the moment is to get it driving down the road, and I’ll make whatever changes, upgrades etc.. after that.
