    I have a huge one myself that I love. It was the very first one of my now many succulents...my apartment looks like a jungle when I bring them all in for winter...but I LOVE it. Keeps me from getting the blues in the winter seeing it bloom. I have the most beautiful reddish one that I swear has an iridescent look almost like merthiolate ...orange and pink with the most beautiful white stigma coming out of the center...the flowers remind me of hummingbirds...it just makes me happy. I want to find a true yellow...I now have a white with the palest pink hue...and the Salmon colored one...now to get them as big as my red one🥰

    Thank you again for a helpful video on cutting back growth on this Thanksgiving cactus.. i need to know the temperature to keep my house so not to hurt my cactus. I have cold rooms and a heater in the room I mostly sit in. My house was built in the 1800’s. Thanks.

    • @ItsmeRebeccaB
      @ItsmeRebeccaB  3 года назад +1

      Hi, Iris 😊 Holiday cacti can tolerate pretty chilly temps and the chilly temps are actually what encourage buds/blooms. I would say a temp of 55-60 and above well suits the Holiday cacti. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and commenting and Happy New Year❣️🙏🏻🍃💕

      Plantstherapy101 ~ Thank youu ~ I love Geraniums, they were one of my mothers favorites ❤️ I was going to put some in a planter for outside this summer, but just haven’t gotten around to it, lol. They are pretty tolerant of high sun, which is what we need for our yard, plants that are tolerant of high sun. You will have to let me know how they overwinter inside, I’m curious to know 😊🙏🏻🍃💕

    Wow your Thanksgiving cactus is the biggest I ever seen. It looks great and can they bloom anytime of the year or just at Thanksgiving? Because I've seen people they said their holiday cactus blooms anytime of the year 😁🙄 So how will I know if I'm buying a Christmas cactus, Spring Cactus, Thanksgiving cactus? Is there any thing that can identify the difference? Thanks for sharing your plant care Rebecca, enjoy your day dear 💚🌿

    • @ItsmeRebeccaB
      @ItsmeRebeccaB  4 года назад

      Lifepaholic ~ Hey lady, thank you 😊 The T-Giving Cactus has clawed edges and the Xmas and Easter Cacti look very similar in that the scallops on the edges are a bit different, the XMas edges are more “teardropped” and the Easter are more rounded. To me, the foliage looks a little less shiny on the Easter and the Easter also has little hair like protrusions coming from the top part of each clade (segment). Definitely very similar to each other though 😊. Given the right conditions they can bloom anytime, but like their names indicate, it’s usually around the time of each holiday ❤️ Hope your day is going well, my friend❣️🙏🏻🍃💕

    • @ItsmeRebeccaB
      @ItsmeRebeccaB  4 года назад +1

      Joyce Kuhlman ~ Hi, Joyce 😊 From what I have been told, this particular plant is about 15-20 years old. I trim it back a couple of times per year as it is pretty big and I like to keep it a bit “contained”. It really puts on quite a bit of growth during the growing season. I have had this plant for about three years now and I’ve only repotted it once and she’s completely happy 😁 Really easy to care for plants, love the Holiday Cacti❣️🙏🏻🍃💕
