- Is the Apexel 2x Telephoto Lens as good as it claims to be? Today in my review I'm answering: Is the image quality good? Is it easy to use? Is it well built? Are the advertising photos even real?
Update Apexel have since stopped using Andrei's photograph but seem to have replaced it with someone else's.

I wanted to ask you whether this lens fits the Ulanzi case that I have seen you using in other more recent videos. Then I found the answer watching your comparison video between the Ulanzi and the Apexel televideo lenses. I would like to buy the Ulanzi, but it’s sold out. So I will buy this Apexel instead. Is this the same lens from the 5 in 1 apl hb5? They both look the same bur have different series numbers. It fits on iphone 13?

Hi Varun, I haven't seen any distortion on my iPhone XR. Can't speak for all phones though. You just need to make sure it's aligned properly. I put a link in the description.
I just ordered this "lens" a few days ago, very nice video!
I'm wondering how much of an improvement it can make to my 5x optical zoom on my oppo find x2 pro, or my main camera as its a large sensor so it should yield good results with good natural bokeh i think.
what's your experience?

Thanks dude! Glad you enjoyed it.
With it aligned properly, video worked well for me and actually looked sharper than the photos partially because the aspect ratio changes to a native 16:9 when in video mode, which crops the edges of the sensor.

I think the right focal length is based on the sensor size the lens was made for
A teleconverter that is put behind the lens doesn't necessarily reduce the amount of light per sensor area! It actually gives you more(!) light from distant objects (and probably slightly less light per sensor area) at the same distance. Only when you use a teleconverter between sensor and lens, then you get much less light per sensor area and not more light from distant objects.

better mount it on the main lens, the tele has only 10mpx and a small sensor

Hey dude, yeah I’ve just been using Pro Cam to review the Ulanzi Telephoto lens after the exposure issues I had with the native camera app here. I’ve not tried the Moment app, what makes it worth using?
Pisicul Meu it has presets for every lens , moment produces, also gives you full control on your iPhone camera, like your exposure, shutter speed, white balance and focus. Really a must have with these lenses. I recently bought the 5in1 kit for £30 from apexel. Works really well with the moment app

On the portraits I used portrait mode. For everything else it was the normal lens bokeh.

It has a 37mm Thread for filter or something.

It is correct I put a 37 mm nd filter, but it forms a vignette, so if the zoom to 1.2x and that's it ...
@@URBANITO13 i think thats not the problem, i've tried to use step up ring from 37mm to 52mm and use Nd at 52mm, the vignette is still there.
When i turn my OIS off, there you go, the vignette is gone.
Now, unstable footage is my newest problem.

I have a similar problem with the photos haha very unstable ... sometimes the lens does not align perfectly so let's try to practice and become experts haha
Yeah, I used it with a variable ND recently and it wasn't a good experience. When I made this video I was brand new to smartphone photography accessories so I couldn't comment on this. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
I have those and about to return them. Quality is less than the digital zoom in my iPhone 13. Wth I can’t figure it out how they made such a scam. Bad quality even with x2 zoom.

Yes, it will. I recommend getting a “17mm threaded case/ iphone 11 lens case” from apexel or ulanzi, that way you won,t need to go through the alignment issues mentioned in the video
yuriythebest Dumb question, but is the Apexel lens compatible with a Ulanzi case? I cannot find an iPhone 11 case for Apexel. I don’t want to struggle with the alignment.

That's not a dumb question since I searched for the same exact thing a while back: they are compatible, both use 17mm threads, when buying lenses make sure it says something like "universal mount", this usually means it's for the 17mm threads- most of the common lenses use this (2x zoom, anamorphic, wide angle, etc)

@@RedDrMario No Worries! Just make sure when buying it says "universal mount"/17mm and/or in the screenshots look at the mount in the product images - it should look like a screw. There are also some older "bayonet" style attachments so avoid those

Man, I was going to go with this lens because I don't have a need for a great lens. But the false advertisement turned me off of it.
The Ulanzi 2x telephoto is much better value.

@@David_Addison este un pachet de 5 lentile Apexel, printre care si cea prezentata de tine in clip. Pe langa ea mai sunt 195° fisheye, 110° wide, 170° wide si Macro x10. Cel mai mult ma intereseaza tele si macro.
Pachetul de 5 lentile este super. Sper sa se potriveasca cu telefonul tau!
Could you tell me that can you attached it for Mi Note 10?
@@adazz66 Yeah, I was able, with the case the phone comes in the box. Any case that's more protective will make the phone too thick for the lens support. However, since the Mi Note 10's lenses are quite large, there will be some vignetting. And the adjusting on the lens will be very time consuming. I decided to sell mine and got a DSLR camera instead.
Edit: Also, the fisheye lens will be cropped on all cameras, I haven't found any way to make it work.

Wow that is so bad they took other’s pro photos. They should have used photos taken with their own lenses! I just ordered this lens though, to use with my samsung galaxy a52.

i have de 65mm and is sharp but with cromatic aberration

кратко, кто не хочет читать в переводе, это насадка с 1.6 увеличением реальным, в рекламе обман. Что бы снимать , нужно ровно выставить и зажать на телефоне, иначе будет мыло, но в итоге можно получить приятное увеличение и хорошие фото, но фокус будет плавать, переэкспозиция постоянная, нужно делать темнее каждый раз в настройках.
