Thank you for watching this video, I hope you enjoyed it. It was really fun to revisit my time in a language school and the part-time jobs I had. I’m already working on my next one about attending the seiyuu event.
Oh man I love your editing and story-telling style, very engaging while also being informative! Thoughts and prayers for our boy Doppo stuck in corporate Japanese hell
This video basically confirmed my fears about working Japan. Of course I would be with a skilled technician visa in IT or something, but the crazy culture around it is just not what I want.
Great video! I've always been curious about the part-time job scene in Japan. Your experiences sound really interesting. It's inspiring to hear about your journey and how you've adapted to a new culture. Keep up the great work!
@@john-em8fm thank you for the feedback! I’ll pay more attention to volume differences for the next video. Still in the process of figuring things out, your comment is very helpful!
OMG, such a cool video with a high quality production, I don't know why don't you have more subscribers, but I'm honored to be among the first 2 hundred. Keep up the good word! Btw, I'm mexican and don't know much about english accents, where are you from? :0
Thank you, I’ve just recently started this channel, so glad to see you here 🫶 I’m working on a lot of content (drawings, photos, videos, etc) and actually will go on a trip to Japan in November just to film for the channel! I’m Ukrainian! 🇺🇦 I speak Ukrainian, English, Japanese, and a bit of Polish, so that’s why I guess my accent is a bit of a mess 😆
this ads stratup that you worked with, what language did you use primarily at work? and did any jobs you had tried require language levels? i guess basically my question here, could you possibly consider making a video about your personal experience with languages in japan in different situations, including jobs that you did? thanks! looking forward to more videos ✨🙌✨
@@anastasiianapolskykh8552 The tourism job and convenience store job required conversational Japanese, and my startup job was in English. That's a good topic, I will think about it!
@@smugshrug My Japanese wasn’t very strong so I think that had an impact on my job hunting there. Once I had an interview for NOT a teaching position, but because I speak English too, they hinted to me that they would like me besides what’s written on the job description to teach kids English after working hours 😅
Oh god, I just hear more and more, how crazy it is to work in JP. With all my love to the culture and people, nature... you should have got your own remote job, Shinji, now get to the f.. robot!!!
Great video! I also work in Japan in marketing🥲 and I hate when people ask me "Are you here for work or study?". I'm not here for work, but because I want to live in Japan. I work in Japan only because that's the only way to get a visa to continue living in Japan. I hope your channel takes off!
I seriously wonder, if you live in Japan but don't speak Japanese, do you default to your native tounge or do you use English? I mean for people whose native language that's not English.
Unless your mother tongue is Chinese or Korean you will need English. My friend was lucky to find a job while he speaks only Spanish. It was in a hotel to help Spanish-speaking travelers, but haven't heard other cases like that.
As Cris said, there are places in Tokyo like Shin-Okubo where everything is in Korean and most Korean community lives. In my language school most of students were from Vietnam, but all of them were speaking English. Text books were also EN to JP.
Your video popped up in my recommendations, and it was a very nice little watch, especially with your illustrations! Pretty sure the Japanese work culture isn't for me, haha!

The struggle with the change / numbers in the different language is real. In my case it's German, and it's such a struggle😢 my brain overheats
