Mariusz so good he wins overhead press while not understanding the rules
Mariusz Pudzianowski is exactly what you want a world's strongest man too look like. Not only did he look strong he was strong.
And he was the only one who had a silhouette to be called bodybuilder.
He lacked static strength. He did not do well at Arnolds.
@@mikemoore2791 I mean in his physical condition, he was strong but does also depend on what events, and after what's one of the stoltman brother said events can be worked round a competitor. If Mariusz was doing a single dumbell lift he wasn't good would loose alot of points. Which can change placing.
@@mikemoore2791 although his 415kg is pretty impressive for a lack of static strength, especially back in the day
What a ridiculous comment
Had the pleasure of working the mic during WSM 2000 at Sun City Resort. My voice in the background
I appreciate the work you did, what a good commentator!
Where is this place ?
@@derekporter66 South Africa, I believe
Mariusz is the greatest strongman that ever lived IMO. There were stronger men statically but Mariusz didn't give up much to them and held a rather extreme advantage in terms of cardiovascular conditioning. He also looked like a super hero.
he still looks,god damm
Mariusz's kinda absolute one of the guy that breaking stereotype where you don't have to be fat to be strong and have a look of bodybuilder that also holds 5 titles in WSM.
Jon Pall did that 20 years earlier.
@@meginna8354 Jon Pall didn't have 5 WSM bruh
@@roybatty- Yeah only a mere 4
3. Don't count the run with bricks. OD Wilson should be a winner that year.
@@Haveagrated Glad someone else brought that up. OD was winning easily that year against JPS but that event simply was arrange to make sure JPS gets his 4th title. He looked like an example of fit strongman as oppose to fat, big american. Sad story.
OD Wilson was a winner that year, nobody with strongman know how would question that.
the dream physique of the dominator
Crazy how even on his first event there was already a rivalry with Zydrunas
They're friends irl
Was it a rivalry? Pudz dominated him 80% of the time.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 Yup. Zydrunas even said "I do my best, but always 2nd place. What to do? I don't know....".
LEAVE! That's what to do, Big Z! So he did!
@@TheVanillatech yup He was getting smoked most of their time together and had to leave to win at somewhere else. He came back when Mariusz said that He doesnt feel like going for 6 and Big Z took that chance and even though He finally won at 09 His overall score was just still very close to Mariusz.
@@spicydoughnut8397 Yeah if you look at ALL their contests together, not just WSM but also the superseries grand prix across those years, Mariusz had a 77% winrate against Zydrunas. Mariusz still has the highest overall percentage of first places, which is insane (shows how dominant he was). Thor is second on that list, then Brian Shaw, and then Zydrunas.
I feel like Mariusz will to win was unparalleled. He was capable of pushing himself to the limit. Look at that deadlift hold for example.
most of his peers talk about his endless energy, and they say, it seems like he never gets tired.
People get the best out of them when they are afraid to lose. He had that mike Tyson kinda spirit
He was in the zone for almost 10 years. Nothing but net.
He got better as every event went on.
He tore his quad and in one contest and still went out for the squat and came third, just to secure points.
Who would have guessed these 2 men standing beside each other, Mariusz and Zydrunas would have gone on to dominate the sport of Strongman in the 2000s?
Zydrunas really didn't much. 2010-2014 was his time
@@basicmeme1040 In the 2000’s Zydrunas won the Arnold Strongman Classic 6 times (2003-2008), IFSA World Championships 2 times (2005-2006), and a WSM win in 2009.
@@tristanthechampion9227 plus winning fortissimus 2009, and setting God only knows how many world records mid competition in his 20+ years of competing

Mariusz had all it takes to be a strong man. Not only did he perform great and was strong, he also looked strong, great shape and fantastic stamina. This guy could have easily make a bull loose its balance. He's doing great now in MMA, business and other stuff. Very strong mentally succesfull self made man, still training very hard every day. What an example for kids!
Bye far the smallest just barely over 6 foot and under 300 pounds and he was slaying Giants so incredibly strong he is definitely my favorite strong man always will be
Even in his last year (2009) he still came 2nd with a stacked field of Biz Z, Shaw etc.
Wow I love these WSM flashbacks. The legends 💪
" Mariusz how do you feel about that?"
" Eh, good"
" Is second place ok for you?"
" Okay"
" Any idea how it might go in the next few events?"
´shrugs´
Fucking legend
Not sure that's worth a highlight. He was still learning English
Lmao, much love from Poland
@@liamc7097 I've seen people who speak flawless English do the same thing because they are in the zone. Just saying.
no speak english ? :-)
Erling Haalandbvibe!
I remember my dad and I cheering at the TV whenever Mariusz was on WSM. Good times.
What fascinated me about Mariusz as a 12 year old kid when I first saw him, was he was the only guy that didn’t look like a fat guy, but he didn’t just look brutally strong, he backed it up too!
There have been bigger guys, there have been stronger guys, but there has never been a more intense competitor than Pudzianowski. His speed, endurance, and ability to move with weight were on a different level than the other guys of his era.
If there was a Mt Rushmore of strongman his head is certainly on it.
I mean he is objectively the best lol he won more than anyone else can't refute that.
He was a great strong man
Nadal jest ☝️
Mariusz is an extraordinary human specimen.
You got that right lol
@@SCommanderJR Poland power men
Just not a pro boxer as they claimed. He is hoverer convicted criminal.
@@hagestad he just teached that mob boss a lesson for assaulting someone.
He not only holds the most number of WSM titles but had a bodybuilder type physique as well as a mma fighter overall an incredible superhuman athlete
The name that stays in my mind, when I remember my childhood and world's strongest men.
Yeah same here he was so exciting to watch I wanted to be him so much
He won so many WSM events in a short amount of time I don't see anyone in a long while ever tying him.
"Yes, very good... Ok". 👌😅
Boy I tell you what Marius was a beast.
Me: sleeping in peace at 5 in the morning
Crows outside: 15:02
This was an astonishingly great 1st performance in WSM. He dominated his Heat and was highly competitive throughout the finals.
I was under the impression that big z competed first in wsm after Marius had already won a couple.Makes it even more impressive that did so much when he always had such competition from day 1.Beating big z in any overhead event😳
saw this dude walk by me at show of strength. Just massive
Mariusz Pudzianowski an absolute Icon in Wsm.
Polska Gurom!
@@DeniTRK buraku, sprawdź sobie w internecie co oznacza to hasło i skąd się wzięło, a nie poprawiasz ludzi. Nie pozdrawiam
When I was a kid I watched Pudzian and I remember noone could beat him in the gyms in Poland, he was so strong.
3 wsm in the same heat
Mariusz was the best one!
EL MEJÓR DE TODA LA HISTORIA
When he competed you just knew he would win. Absolutely was The Dominator, always seemed to find a way.
He is a superhero
There has never been a fiercer competitor.
After that Mariusz was in Prison 2001 for assaulting a mafia boss 😎😂.
He came back in 2002 & then just became the DOMINATOR
honestly not enough credit wsm is so much bigger now and he still the only guy to have 5 wsm tittles unreal strength for his size and weight,
The Goat with how strongman turning more into an athletic style event he would've done well nowadays as well
Great video 💪
Wielki szacun
Mariusz pudzianowski is extraordinary powerful man
O maior de todos!
Verdade. 5 vezes homem mais forte do mundo.
6:55 Little did they know they were both very close to greatness and history
One of the heaviest strongmen, 154 kilograms... this made me want to go into the time machine, buy steroids instead of drugs, and completely rewrite my life's story...
P.S. - "Another man that weighs 300 pounds..." - the commentator said... This makes me laugh, cause I weigh 280, and that is on a bad day... and some people don't even think I am too fat, cause I am 184cm, which is about 6 foot and a bit more than one inch....
P.S. 2 - anyone that think Marius was weaker and that he wouldn't be good at today's WSM, just look at his Atlas stones performance... It shows supreme strength... He really was "the dominator", and he got into MMA after WSM record career... Fucking Legend! Respect!! Word!
No doubt the guy was strong. But it seemed to be his strength combined with his explosiveness, and fitness relative to the other strongmen competitors, that really gave him the upper hand in WSM. In terms of true brute strength he was not up there with the strongest, which was evidenced in his Arnold Strongman appearances, in which he never came close to winning. People would also point out that he was probably on goodness knows what in terms of PEDs. But he wouldn't have been the only one doing that, I'm sure.
Just to underline my point even further. Compare Pudzianowski's best performance at the Arnold Strongman Classic (4th) to Glenn Ross (3rd). This is despite the fact Ross never made any impact at all while competing in WSM.
People don't understand He was only 23 years old here. Yeah let that sink in.
Reasumując wszystkie aspekty kwintesencji tematu dochodzę do fundamentalnej konkluzji
...warto TRENOWAĆ!
This guy was a monster
mariusz is proof of what amazing willpower, discipline, AND peds can do :)
great seeing karlsen in his prime
Que buenos vídeos 💪💪👍👍👍
I was Channel surfing years ago saw this competition. I've ben a Pudzianowski fan ever since.
El señor mariusz es un verdadero jefe.
17:53 I can only imagine the struggle and pain when pulling 36 ton Trucks
First WSM and to do so well.
big z's tyre was NOT over the line - it was on it...
He was a shade under 6ft but totally Dominated everyone else and won 5 WSM Titles in a short amount of time. Just imagine if He was 6'5 - 6'6, was not jailed in 01 and considered continuing after his victory in 08. He could've won 6 or 7 WSM Titles. Truly the Goat of Strongman. Polska Gora 💪🏻🇵🇱
15:03 the sound of a champion.
Worked with a Polish Crew during this man's peak performance, he was always on the shit talking with us Americans.
Pudzilla is the best :)
The whole tyre should be over the line.. big z should of came 2nd in 1st event
Dude Zydrunas is fresh on juice.
The monsther 💪
Mariusz = The GOAT
Pudzianowski legendaty monster
Very strong
Mariusz sprawił, że znowu można było być dumnym z bycia Polakiem 👊🏼
O kurde jakie emocje
0:15 pause for a moment when they are all together hhaha
Pudzianowski shows that strong doesn't mean you can be tall and fat. The man was 10 times fitter than his competition.
I think those WSM didn't get so much credit but look at this they being so close to the crowd etc its so cool
Hell of a way to introduce yourself. Anyone know the weight on the wheel overhead and farmer's carry?
That zadrunas fella seems to be good. I bet hes gonna get out of the heats in years to come...
Real strongmen
His celebrations are the best thing 😆😆😆
In Farmer's Walk Mariusz had a longer path to walk... the outer square circle has a larger diameter, so also a longer path to walk...wtf with these judges...
Yeah, that was a BS event. He was smoking his opponent but the corners killed him.
re-watch the start and notice that Mariusz starts ahead of the other guy, yes the outer circle has a larger diameter but since he starts ahead I imagine the distance they have to cover is the same
Yes he is better than bill kazmier
16:00 Bullshit even , Mariusz had to go a longer path
Wich year?
Yorkshire mosh you cannot say much more about this man
Savikas looks like a young jona hill
Gdyby nie wystartował to by nie dało nic ! nic !
5x wsm the greatest
phil pfister - they just found him on a farm somewhere in usa and asked him to come do WSM - he just shows up, no training needed
Phil Pfister was a Policeman I think.
Mariusz Pudzianowski - the only man in history to make a Chinese Ding shit itself.

At 9:44 is that Colin Bryce?
15:05 😵💫
That first event... Big Z vs Mariuz the best strongman to ever live
