Definitely try dirty talk in the O face lipsticks! It's the only shade I own in the line. Reminds me of the Essence lipstick you recommended and love!

I used to think that skincare in makeup was just a marketing thing, until I used the elf primer with niacinamide. My skin started randomly looking better and I was confused. Then I realized it was the only change I had made. It made a big difference for me! I ended up adding a more potent niacinamide in my skincare routine - but I credit the elf primer for introducing me to an ingredient than changed my skin!
Get the 10% niacianamide from the ordinary ❤ its only 10$ for 30ml

Wow had no idea. I just assumed they tested on animals since their products are made in China and I won’t buy those types of cosmetics.
@@kristinam2719No, they do not. Also they do not SELL in China, which I believe is the difference. China can't tell you what to do and not to do if you don't offer your products to their residents.

Love this series! It is so nice to hear long term what works and what doesn't. Anybody can do new releases and have that honeymoon phase, but wearing it multiple times is where the rubber meets the road. A+ Jessica!
I'm soo glad someone said how bad are elf concealers and i hate cc cream too!! I never got the hype of both products from influencers
I tried the cc cream and it looked so horrible not to mention it looked so yellow i looked like a Simpson 😂
The camo matte concealer is awful but I do like the hydrating one. It’s not the best thing ever but for the price it’s good.
Same! I got the concealer based on said recommendations, and it looked nice upon first application, but after a few hours and with every day wear, it was awful! It managed to break me out and make my skin dry and flaky at the same time 😬
The matte one is so bad, I couldn't let it sit for even a few seconds because then I could not blend it out at all and it would just break apart.
That CC cream ages me to no end!!

Yes totally keep a makeup bag at work with blotting papers, powder foundation, a cream blush and a few lip options. Oh and a hair brush and toothbrush! 🤣 never can be too prepared!

The "dirty talk" shade in that lipstick is my personal fav! Now we need to see you do a comparison of the Supergoop unseen sunscreen and the new elf invisible sunscreen! And try the elf sunscreen spray throughout the day over your makeup and let us know how that works out!! ❤❤❤
My favourite too, I was coming here to the comments because I couldn’t believe she was talking about not having a great every day shade from this line when Dirty Talk exists, it’s perfect!
I always bring a bag of my makeup with me everywhere for touch ups. Especially lip sticks or gloss, cause that's usually the first thing to go.

The elf flawless foundation is so good. I’ve been through a whole bottle in like 4 months which is crazy (Note: the bottle is a lot smaller than a traditional foundations). My favorite way to use it is mixed with Asian style sunscreens to make a tinted sunscreen.
Everyone loved the camo foundation and I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY!!! Thank you for validating my feelings!!
For the O face lipsticks, try Dirty Talk. Too light for my medium yellow-olive skin but would be a lovely everyday lip for you! (No Doubt fits me better)

I really like the finish and coverage of the Elf Flawless Satin foundation, but the scent gives me a headache so I can't use it. And I'm not particularly or overly sensitive to scents in products. There is just something in the fragrance that triggers a headache for me. I really enjoy the Hydrating Camo Concealer (I don't have the same issues that you described to be honest), but the CC Cream is horrible (I did experience the same issues as you). The Primer-Infused powders are excellent. The Elf Lash N Roll mascara is the best mascara Elf has ever made. The Halo Glow Liquid Filter is also so good and I agree that it does have some coverage! I really like the new undereye corrector/brightener. I do have the fair shade which is more pink and it definitely brightens! Now I don't have a ton of discoloration under my eyes so I can't speak to how well it truly correct darkness. Elf doesn't really have a brow product that is the right color for me tbh (anything light enough is too warm on me), but thankfully Wet N Wild does (ash brown) and it's super affordable as well. The Putty Bronzers blend away to nothing on my skin and the putty blushes are patchy af.

Thank you for doing this! I am a teacher and do my makeup at like 5 am and really need things to last and need little maintenance because who has time to do a ton of touch ups. I don’t keep a little makeup bag but I think I shall start doing that. I have all sorts of other essentials in my classroom like deodorant and such so a small makeup bag should just be just be a natural addition.

The Woah Glow sunscreen did for sure cause pimples. I stopped using it for awhile and they stopped, thought I’d try again and it broke me out again. I do not have sensitive skin and hardly ever get breakouts.

The Holy Hydration moisturizer is my summertime go to. I had always worn high end makeup and was coming off of a several year love affair with It Cosmetics and, dang, but can the drugstore compete! If I have a make up bag at work I rarely use it. But I do keep mascara and an eye brow pencil in my car. The brow pencil gets used regularly for touch ups. The mascara is priceless when I somehow forget to put it on 😂
I keep a makeup bag at work for touch ups and for those mornings when I get to work and discover that I forgot to put on my brows or mascara 😂
I couldn’t disagree more about the elf eyeshadow primer! It works amazing and keeps eyeshadow on my oily hooded lids all day without creasing. Even glitter stays on until I scrub it off at the end of the night. But yea the concealers really suck.

I’m a Disney cast member and I DEFINITELY carry makeup with me to work. Whether I need to touch up because I’m constantly in go mode in this ridiculous Florida weather, or it’s just one of those days where I do some makeup and leave myself the option to add more later depending on how the day goes, I almost never go without at least a lip gloss and some eye pencils😂

Agree. Elf somehow gets a lot right. I feel like other drugstore brands are more hit or miss. I have a lot of high end makeup but reach for elf often.
I recently just tried the CC Cream for the first time and actually really enjoyed it! Did well during a looooong day in heat here in a Colorado/ Wyoming.
When I was working, I used to keep a makeup bag in my purse! Now I only do if I'm going to be out for a long time/ at an event of sorts.

I agree! I too hate the camo concealers. Everyone raved about them. I tried the original and then the hydrating and still they look so dry!
I don't love the powder foundation for the same reason. I continue to try them but i think I've just come to the conclusion i don't like powder foundations at all. I did not feel like the O lipstick were hydrating. They felt super dry to me so that got thrown in a drawer. Again, so many better lipsticks out there.

I have really enjoyed your reviews. I really love the Catrice products. I agree with you that ELF products have evolved and there are now some great products in their line. Some of the earlier ones, not so much. They have learned and evolved and that is great for all of us!

Hi there! I have been watching for awhile and really enjoy your content.
You were asking for a good neutral everyday color in the elf lipsticks...I would say to use dirty talk. It is nice and light to medium color. For me I use a lip liner that is the color I want it to be (hope that makes sense). Like if I'm wearing pink colors I wear a pink neutral liner that mixes in the lip color and it always makes the best color. But dirty talk is great!
Oh also I almost agree on most of this video. I love my Halo sticks and the putty/luminous products though. Elf does make smaller brushes for them and they work well.

I love the camo hydrating concealer. I have a birthmark around my left eye and the concealer is thick enough to cover it.
