  • SUVA (Pacific Media Centre). Heavy rain and a flood alert remain in force today as Fiji citizens braved the wild and wet conditions to vote in the general election.
    Pictured in the video clip are voters making their way to polling stations in Lower Ragg, Namadi Heights, in the capital of Suva.
    A heavy rain warning remained in force for Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and Southern Lau group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, reports FBC News.
    A heavy rain alert remained in force the rest of Fiji group.
