The versions you made are all lovely and you look beautiful wearing them ! I’m so glad you have begun to wear longer skirts. I love wearing them winter and summer. Thank you for all the construction details that you’ve shared , you really make your garments, beautiful inside and out.
Hi Karina, Debby here from Wisconsin US. When you modeled the skirt with the green jacket and black boots, you look like us MId-West ladies in the fall. 😃 Last month I bought beautiful flowing fabric. The skirt with the buttons is what I'm going to sew. I used your link...thank you very much for your dedicated RUclips channel.
I'm too short (and wide) to want to wear this style but I remember how great they felt. The colorful print with the black background is so nice on you. I can see why you bought lots of it - Kelly
I would not have ever picked this style of skirt for myself but you've totally convinced me. I learn so much and always am hungry for more info. I hope one day you discuss fabric a bit and how to choose, how to know them etc.
Thanks for taking one for the team on the pockets. I know how much you despise them. It did turn out beautiful though. That fabric is gorgeous and with the buttons you chose. 🤌
I love the black tropical look skirt with the red buttons! So many colors to use for a top and accessories. The red skirt looks very fun to wear and the blue & white one is fabulous, too. Your sewing is quite meticulous and offers some excellent options for new sewists to use in their future projects. Thanks for the demonstration.
Your blue skirt is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait for you to show us how to make the placket. . have a black rayón chalice with butterflies that would make a beautiful skirt😊
After seeing yours I might have to try a longer skirt! They are beautiful! I love the first one and I would buy that fabric in a heartbeat. So nice. Thank you
Hi Karina, all your skirts are lovely! I don't wear skirts either, but after seeing yours, I'm going to try it. (We are similar in height and size) I do agree with you that the shorter more fitted tops look best with the long skirt. The sillouette is gorgeous!! Im going to use your link to purchase it now.😊 Thanks for all you do!
I think the blue one is still my fave, the open placket really suits it. The first one with the red buttons is fabulous, it styled so well with all the colours! The green smitten jacket was a surprise, I don’t think I would have picked the green out, but it was fabulous. They were all fabulous!
I love the black background/floral print! Have you ever used your serger/overlock machine, using differential feed, to do the gathers? Following your link, I'm off to buy the Caprice Skirt!
I never wore skirts before, but now wear them all the time in woven fabrics (my preference). I think it’s the drape and movement. With a mature figure, it covers the muffin top. Your skirts are beautiful and a style that is new to me (never considered). Will have to make a few ❤
I love tiered and gathered skirts and dresses! I think they're very feminine. The ankle length really looks fabulous on you 😍 As for elasticated waists, they are wonderful! The easiest, most comfortable style ever.
These are just beautiful! When I was shopping the patterns I saw this one and said - nope, not for me! After seeing yours, I'm rethinking than response. I agree with the other person who said they would like to see the blue Lenox top with the first tropical print. In the video the colors looked the same - it might be too much with the red buttons though.,.the green comes across more neutral so maybe that's why that works so well. Worth a shot! As always, thank you so much for your attention to detail, your clear instruction, and your enthusiasm!
I absolutely love the fabric of the first skirt! Is the fabric available to purchase online? I need to make this for myself. And what a better way to use some lovely buttons I have. You have so, so many beautiful clothes. I really want to see photo's of your closets :)
Until you said it was autumn for you, I had never thought that autumn happens at different times of the year! I just thought for the southern hemisphere that your spring would be getting colder. Wow! I’m 74 years old and learned an eye opening fact! I guess I need to travel more!
Do you think a double gauze would work for this skirt in B view? AND I really loved your video from the Andes mountains. You have a beautiful continent to travel.
Can someone help me, PLEASE? This pattern says measure for full hip. Do I also include my "flab" in this or move it out of the way? I am about a 2XL. All of the where to measure videos are skinny people.
Thanks for an other informative video! Just wondering how you would approach making this skirt in a chiffon type fabric. Would you make a separate underskirt or line the chiffon?
Thanks so much! I really like the view A that you did with the real central placket. If you were to do that one with chiffon, would you also attach it at the placket?
It would interfere with the ease and the style of the skirts. I would leave it as is. Styles that have a flat front/elastic back have to be drafted that way originally.

Excellent video. I never thought I’d ever make a skirt with tiers but after watching your video, I might. Thank you!
I would like to see the blue crop top with the first skirt. I love all your versions. Caprice will be a staple for me!

So happy when you said "fake" placket 😂
lol fake is great :)
Purchased the pattern. You have beautiful skirts. Thank you for sharing your makes!

I love your tutorials, you give us all the important information. I feel like I have everything I need to make a garment. Thanks!
Love all of them, but that blue one is stunning. That one is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy your new skirts, they are stunning! Would like to see how you added a working placket, when you are inspired to sew that again.
Thank you! Will do!

All the skirts are gorgeous and you look gorgeous in all of them.
Love how you planned the navy stripes to parallel the button placket equally in front of
the Caprice print skirt.
Love them all but honestly that blue is truly YOUR color ❤😊 . Thank you Karina off to order from yr link .
I hope you enjoy!
Beautiful and so professionally made. LOVE the long skirts.
Great Karina, will buy this pattern for my wife. Beautiful
beautiful makes, love them both. You have inspired me to get this pattern❤
I’m always so inspired by your sewing ❤️. Also LOVE skirts and sneakers 👟🥰
They all look so wonderful Karina, my favourite outfit is the blue skirt and royal blue top.
I love tiered and gathered skirts and dresses! I think they're very feminine. The ankle length really looks fabulous on you 😍 As for elasticated waists, they are wonderful! The easiest, most comfortable style ever.

That’s really useful to know about using hip size. ❤❤❤❤

I buy all my fabric in Brazil and you can’t buy it online.
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Thanks, Katrina. I think I need a holiday in Brazil :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Just saw on the news the horrible weather there in Brazil. Hope you and your family and friends are safe.
@@angelrose7906 we are ok. What you see is in the south of Brazil. Terrible.
Beautiful Karina! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I always use your code to purchase my LN patterns. Thank you so much! ❤ Diann

It’s totally opposite down here… headed to winter :)
This pattern is beautiful
Gorgeous 🎉❤
Beautiful, especially the blue. I love the changes you make - the placket levels it up!
❤❤❤the fabric ❤❤❤❤
Do you think a double gauze would work for this skirt in B view?
AND I really loved your video from the Andes mountains. You have a beautiful continent to travel.
Have you considered using the blind hem stitch on your machine to hem long hem distances instead of hand hemming?
Can someone help me, PLEASE? This pattern says measure for full hip. Do I also include my "flab" in this or move it out of the way? I am about a 2XL. All of the where to measure videos are skinny people.
Hi Karina! Do you have any channel in Spanish?😅 my english isn’t very good and i don’t understand all you say😢. Thanks I like your sewins very much❤
No. I don’t have a channel in Spanish. This one consumes 100% of my time. I can’t have another channel
Could you also shorten these skirts if you wanted them about knee length?
Absolutely!
I’d be conservative with shortening views A, B and D. Views C and E, you can shorten to the knee. View D: you can sew just the two tiers instead.
Love the fabric, love the skirts and love the pattern . Great job and red is my favourite colour too.
Thank you Karina.
Thanks for an other informative video! Just wondering how you would approach making this skirt in a chiffon type fabric. Would you make a separate underskirt or line the chiffon?
I’d make a separate lining using view C or E (the more simple views) and join them at the waist.
Thanks so much! I really like the view A that you did with the real central placket. If you were to do that one with chiffon, would you also attach it at the placket?
Is it possible to do a flat waistband on the front and elastic on the back? Would it be difficult?
It would interfere with the ease and the style of the skirts. I would leave it as is. Styles that have a flat front/elastic back have to be drafted that way originally.
Thank you.
