Love: - New transparent transmitter design - New fluff design - 32bit float (wish creators would explain this better) - Bluetooth (but needs Black Magic app on iPhone) - Second track recording - Auto gain settings for all types of cameras Don't care: - Noise cancellation (better done in post) - White color (but I see why others would care) - Lock of the case (these aren't AirPods, I never dropped them ever) Hate: - Case is bigger - Fluffs still don't fit into the case
haha bro yes! I wish the windscreens and cable had somewhere to live in the hard case I do 1000% agreee on there. I'm just like you for the noise cancelling, I rather do that myself in post that let the mic do it and then comes out wonky sounding like a tin can. I also agree with your pros! I bought the DJI pocket 3 without the combo when it came out and I’m glad I waited for the stand alone Mic 2. It has extra features that the one that came in the combo didn’t have. I think that it’s the perfect companion for the pocket 3 cause now two people can have a mic and it’s more discreet while filming in public. Where I live people will kick you out of a place if you have a camera.
Great Video Jay! Is there any way you could do a video on how to set up the microphone properly with the fx3? I have the original DJI wireless mic's and always feel like there's some kind of noise or peaking whenever i hit record.
Hey Alex, I can try and make a short this week and upload it!!! With the DJI Mic 2 and the new camera selection feature we can pick in the receiver under the transmitter tab the camera we're using and the FX3 is in there. Once its selected the DJI Mic 2 will optimize your audio. We know tho that spikes can clip so I would next suggest turning on the 32bit float! I'll be sure to do either a Short or actual youtube video this week! Appreciate the comment!
Hahahahaha "Besides from the incredible features that blow this thing out of the water compared to the first DJI mic, there's nothing that stands out from the original DJI mic." This video is definitely for the views, this is absolutely and obviously worth every penny over the DJI mic 1 and even this video shows it.
For the views my guy I clearly state the “stand out features” and play devils advocate asking if you really need it. I didn’t get this for free like the influx of RUclipsrs did. To each their own, thanks for the view ;)
But mad respect. I definitely understand your reasoning, especially if you like dealing with the audio stuff or have a system that works already and just have the "it's new I want it" itch. But I think for most people, it's going to be a game changer. I'm a one-man-band mostly run-and-gun in really diverse situations and worrying about audio is such a pain. This improves my workflow by a TON.
All I was say is IF you need it great the only interest for myself was the 32bit float for those scrappier productions so I agreed with you where it has its benefits. Do we REALLY need it tho nah haha but if it makes workflow and life easier and the funds are there then why not
