Handmade fishing floats.. What paint SHOULD you USE to paint the tips!!

  • In this video, I describe the different types of Fluorescent paints that I use when making my own handmade fishing floats BUT I also describe the types of paints that I dont like to use.

    Enjoying the videos,just started making my own stick floats but finding it hard to get the right ratio when mixing the paint..would it be possible to do a video on mixing up the paint for the float body's and tips?it would give a better idea of what to look for

      Hi Shane. Pleased your enjoying the video's. I will do a video of mixing the paint but it will be after christmas now but I will do one. It is more down to experience and what you prefer but also how you position the float whilst it drys. For instance if you just stand the float upright and the paint is quite runny, the paint will run down the float, but if you hang the floats upside down, you can get away with the paint being a bit more runny. Also, other people prefer the paint to be quite thick, I dont like it this way as I find it harder the brush onto the float. I like it probably 1/3 watered down, maybe slightly more but I will do a video after christmas. Please subscribe to my channel if you enjoy it and find it useful. Many thanks
