BMW 1 Series Track Build- 1M Rear Subframe Conversion

- Its time to finally reassemble the E90 M3/1M rear subframe with the LSD and all solid/polyurethane bushings. We used turner motorsports solid aluminum bushings along with powerflex polyurethane bushings for all of the rear subframe. Since the subframe came from the east coast we decided to restore it by recoating it using Rustoleum products. We also ended up replacing most of the track rods and toe links with new OEM units. The subframe is finally back in and the 135i is one step closer to getting its tune and hitting the road!

Great video guys 👍 I'm looking to swap a rusted subframe out for a recon but my question is.... can this work be done on axle stands? I understand I'd have to split it down into more manageable parts due to the shear weight of it all.
quick tip: if possible, try to freezing your bushings before pressing. Obviously, it'll make the job that much easier

Brake cleaner is good for CLEANING. For painting, you want to use Acetone, to eat up anything left over as thin film residue
What color is the car? A82 vermillion red?
Crazy I just started doing this swap, could you care to elaborate if I need the m3 rear coil overs I have the kw Clubsports otw and just want to be sure I don’t have to change/modify my order for my rear end swap.
The lower rear "camber arm", the one that holds the spring and the shock bolts too is different between the m3 rear end and 135i stock rear suspension. Theoretically you can just reuse those arms from the 135i and it should work.

No they aren't. The 1m rear end is the same as e90 m3 rear end
