I got a 2013 128i recently and I’m wanting to do this to it. How much of a difference will there be between the 128 and the 135?
Looks killer. I just picked up a 1M style bumper from ECS Tuning last week. I got the version with the air ducts not the fog light holes though. Hope it fits up as nice as yours.

Computer Science I managed to get in contact with the supplier and have it switched out for the fog light version. I didnt like the difference in looks.

Have you ever seen an "M performance" bumper fitted on an E82? That one is my favorite. It's near impossible to get a hold of one though.

Nice car! But you should put back those undertrays as this will make your car faster. The air gets under the car w/o being disturbed. Better airflow = faster car.

Guessing you had to get this painted yourself? About how much was that? And also, since they do have fog cut outs, they're actually functional and you can install the fogs yourself?

1M style front bumper is a HUGE change, from sky to earth!! You shouldn’t throw your stock bumper away. Keep it just in case or sell it to someone who might needs it!! Carbon front lip next?? 😉

Let’s say, if you get it today, It’ll probably last the whole winter, until your next track day!! 😂 The good thing is, you won’t have to lower it much, and compensate it with thicker tires for the track!! Other than that, you’ll have to drive with some caution!! BTW, the lip I’m specifically talking about is the RZ style!!

Nice ride, do any of the stock ducts need to be removed with the non fog light 1M replica version? I believe you alluded to only having to remove it with the fog light version..

Awesome comment. Yes, I would think with some accurate trimming you could get them to work. But I haven't tried it. I might try to retrofit the OEM 1M brake ducts one day.
I thought you can get the air ducts for the brakes installed on this number. The one you showed us that you didn't like is the wrong bumper (it does look ugly but it's not the correct bumper as the real 1M car).

I just had a box of assorted rubber caps from the auto store. I used that near the washer fluid tank and pump for the lines going to the headlights.

No, OEM 1M bumpers will not fit without other fender work. The bumper I used is aftermarket and has been made to fit the 135i.

It's a copy, BMW didn't make a 1M bumper that fit the 135i.
Is this bumper quality good or not? I look for my 120d. This looks more brutal than OEM 😅 but i dont know for quality.

Usually I'm the other way around here, but the car was begging for a new front bumper. However, I don't think it's less functional. If anything, the larger opening for the intercooler should help.

You can just remove the fuse for the headlight washers. It doesn't give an error code or anything like that.
