The Hawks vs. Pistons 1997 was an intense game 5. The #pistons had their backs against the wall facing elimination. However, the defensive Mookie Blaylock and Mount Mutombo rallied the Hawks to victory. Christian Laettner, Tyrone Corbin and Steve "shoot in your face" Smith put the stamp on the victory with quick scoring. This game show cases old school guard post and shoot (watch Joe Dumars) which is rear as hell today. This low scoring game exemplifies the culture of hardwood defense in the age of insensitivity. The paint stayed clogged with Mutombo 5 blocks and players scrapping for position in the middle. it LITERALLY always has been and still is all about the rankings so the 04 pistons weren't nearly as elite as the 90 and 89 pistons let alone the 58 hawks led by legend bob pettit in the 88 playoffs the elite years FINALLY ended for legend kareem abdul-jabbar and please tell me did you all know there's a documentary called the greatest player ever starring wilt chamberlain and in 80 the nba declared the greatest player ever as bill russell
