Drae, that first deer was paralyzed from the shot in the neck (I think). If this is true that is amazing game design
Their bullet ballistics and injuries are really impressive this engine has been built and upgraded many of times so I wouldn't be surprised.
Deer don't get paralyzed like that. Hitting a deer in the spine is one of the most inhuman shots. You hit a deer in the spine it will have a slow painful death.
No they will be paralyzed not hurting.

you guys know nothing about hunting. play a few games even. the deer was just wounded, he never hit it in the spine... just the jaw. then brain. yes i grew up hunting. when hurt... deer dont care.. if they can move they're gonna do whatever they can to get away. fight or flight. the game is buggy so the deer didnt run.

And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.
I like the bow. Bow hunting has always intrigued me much more than guns. Great job with that bear!

Sir Like A Sir nope. a headshot is a gaurenteed kill. but like the main comment said, its desrespectful but its not the main reason. the main reasons are that you have a slim amd nill chance of getting a headshot that if you like to nail the skull up on a wall as a trophie, the head will be blown to shit. hope this clears things up :)

since the game kind of helps you spot animals and you said that was cheating do you think it's possible to play with no HUD. that would be a very interesting episode and I'd love to see it happen
Those bridges in the marsh were most likely for quads so they don't get stuck or the bridges could be for hikers/tourists
the squeaky call is for ROE deer. They are found on the other map. Also, headshots usually don't work

Dont know if someone commented this but you can slick your mouse wheel down and it quick attach/detaches the scope. so you might not have actually put the scope in your storage locker.
Drea you never go for the head because the bullet/arrow tends to not pass through the skull your best option is heart or lung shots.
the purple cloud thing is hunting pressure. If you shoot, the area around the shot will become purple on the map, and animals in that area will be more alert and run away more.
also so you know, the male-female ratio is about 10-1

draegast, the different calls are for different species of deer, one is whitetail and the other is for one in the other region
If you're gonna make a simulator type game about hunting I feel like one of the first things you should know is how a bow looks when it's drawn without an arrow. Having the game render in the arrow when you draw back (even if you have no arrows equipped) seems like a pretty massive oversight to be honest. That being said, I would still say a lot of what they HAVE done is rather impressive.
theres a very thin line between youtubers who talk utter crap loudly throughout their videos and those who talk a lot, but are actually entertaining. this guy is the latter! they're a rare breed! subscribed! :)

Drae, don't go for headshots, the main area you should be aiming for is the vitals in the chest(heart,lungs,liver)
