Today we're checking out the new Vurhonga Savanna DLC that has recently come out which unlocks a whole new Savanna map for us to explore. The current huntable species include Cape Buffalo, Springbok, Warthog, Side-striped Jackal, Blue Wildebeest, Scrub Hare and Lesser Kudo; in this episode, we have a really successful hunt focusing on the larget species, Cape Buffalo and Blue Wildebeest. Pretty much the same thing
Some helpful tips.
1) aim for the spine. Against normal hunting practice but this is a game. They run too far you lose quick kill.
2) Use the right powered gun for the animal. The DLC is stronger than the 7mm for obvious reasons.
3) the quad sound travles 300m so its not good unless your just unlocking the map.
4) over 200m i think your shots go unnoticed so if you use the range finder you can judge. Your rifle without the perk is a short distance. But if you can get accurate shots you can wipe out a whole herd before bambi wakes up from his nap.
6) try to scope out game from the towers. Ive dropped many of animals from high up.
7) dont go by bleed rate. Its not correct in most cases. It could be a flesh wound that will kill an animal. Best way to know is wait. Then check your map. If you see a purple hunting pressure circle then it died. If you dont get one it lived it can take up to 5 min ish sometimes.
8) go into settings and change your track setting. You can customize colors. Makes tracking much easier.

It's made from the creators of Just Cause and Mad Max so that should be expected. I actually heard they use the hunter as a training ground for new employees to hone their skills and is essentially a project they use to learn things and improve skills.
Okay this was weird. I just went through your other Hunter videos from like 2014 and the voice transition through the years was crazy. It felt like reverse puberty. Was it the mic? Nice vid as usual.
Mic and I definitely have refined my voice to be better for videos. but mostly audio setup. I used to use a cheap blue snowball lol

Its pretty cool to see how accurately the map has been designed, every time I play this some parts just reminds me of the Kruger National parks. I can say that at the start you mentioned tigers which we do not have, we do have lions, leopards etc, reason they didnt bring them in is because of the reason you stated at the start. Would especially make the people living here quite mad

hunting down here in what i assume to be southern africa (my home) is very different. no one uses scents or callers.... you walk out into the bush and shoot what you see... it requires skill and patience

Jeffery Garris it’s a double barrel hunting rifle designed specifically for dangerous game such as Cape Buffalo and Lions.
If you load them with slugs they aren´t that much different from rifles. Not gonna hit anything that´s too far away, but the longest shot he took was 150 meter or so, which is easily in slug range.
even if it was just shot, it wont really spread that much in the fist 20 meters

Not really. Ruined a good shot at that mythical using that gun. He should've popped the tent and got a proper gun and aimed for the spine since it was literally just laying there.
Maybe he it was a new save and he didn't have many guns? I dunno. I would've used the 338. At 125yds that would've dropped it right where it was laying with a spine shot.

Bought this game a year ago based on how fun it looked when Drae played it. Spent around 30 hours on it and barely saw a single living animal to hunt. Lots of old turds and footprints and that’s about it...
It sounds like you need to slow down then, sound plays a big role in this game as well as wind/scent. It's not the easiest game to find game but definitely not the hardest. But yes, editing makes it seem like they're everywhere :P this was a 2 hour session and I got really lucky
