The Clade Callidus assassins also appear to have C'tan phase swords. Both of these organisations were formed in the 30th Millennium by Malcador - the GK codex in which it's mentioned states that relations with the race who provided the labyrinths have since broken down, indicating they were acquired as the result of diplomacy with the Necrons.

@@eeyun5279my theory is that in their feasting the tyranids will not only destroy tomb worlds but might also adapt to being able to use the living metal of the necrons as artificial biomass.
alternatively its much easier and cost effective to destroy a bug nest before it grows too big. they could wait but then they'd have to purge just about every single world in the milky way thus losing resources and then spend even more on top of that rebuilding them

    **Spoiler**
Ok s,o there's one thing that I love fantasizing about and that I hope will become true in future lore.
Basically in recent lore, the chad Ghaz is hunting down Angron, after the daemon primarch somehow killed his long rival commisar Yarrick. And seeing how strong Angron has become recently (the fact that after being banished he can come back to the real world in 8 weeks, the recent destruction he caused where Khorne of all people, intervened directly like the emperor did with Mortarion), I would love to see Guilliman, fighting his brother in a losing battle, but suddenly, a massive "Waaagh!" arrives during the conflict with one angry ork boss shouting "Fund Ya!". Then Ghaz proceeds to jump Angron (megatron and sentinel prime style), saving our favorite blue boy's ass and banishing the red angel for good this time (with some Gork and Mork woodly doo, but this part is irrelevant, it can go however GW intends).

Like he doesn't necessarily outright care *so much*, but for whatever reason would prefer the human race to still be around when the necrons get their souls and flesh back. Maybe the emperor will wake up at some point and actually help the necrons get flesh back, considering his dominance over the field of genetic engineering and the fact that the imperium as it is regularly vat-grows servitors.

The Silent King reached out and grasped Dante’s wrist in a remarkably Imperial manner.
Then he leaned in with an alien grace that should have been impossible for a machine, and
whispered something into the Chapter Master’s ear.
"I speak the truth." The Silent King spoke to him. Tycho and I both strained to hear, but the words
were lost to the breeze. Dante recoiled slightly, his face a picture of shock and confusion. Then he
composed himself, and nodded to Szarekh.
And so the alliance was accepted.

It's a sad story for many reasons. Deep down, under all the drama, culture and pageantry, the Blood Angels really are the nihilists the Necron narrator accuses them of being, willing to blow themselves and billions of innocents up on the off chance it might make a difference.
They were too blinded with hate to realise what the Necrons were up to, or to twig their allies were just as willing to screw them over as they were in return. And for all that, the Necrons honoured them, in a fashion.
Ultimately, though, it's about a very lonely being who wanted to make a friend with another lonely being, and still hoped to make a connection with them through their children. Szarek knew Dante and his boys were rigged to blow, but he also knew the mask of their Primarch would stop them in their tracks. And he also knew that Dante was key to Sanguinius' long term plans. So, he kept the ingrate alive, while not making it too easy for the angry little git.
For all their own scheming and machinations, it's hard not to read The Word of the Silent King and think the Necrons were the better men - not that this is saying much.
