I saw 30 Seconds/Leto at a festival some years back and the amount of stage management of the crowd and the built in PR moments made what was a weak set deeply unpopular with the majority of attendees. Amongst other things they straight up hired people to throw inflatable toys in to the crowd to make it look like everyone was having spontaneous zany fun and Leto stopped the set for five minutes to _post selfies to twitter._ I was hanging back in the crowd for that set and beyond the first few rows and the die-hards the sentiment was less 'we love you, Jared' and more 'GET ON WITH IT YOU POSTURING DOUCHEBAG.'

Here's another band that's been tarnished lately because of their lead singer: Jacob Hoggard of the rock band Hedley, In 2005, Hoggard and his band members were suspects in a sexual assault case where a minor was found unconscious and shoeless outside a London, Ontario, venue where the band had played. Rohypnol was present in the victim's blood. The police investigation ended when the victim refused a rape kit and the band sent the venue management a letter stating any discussion of the incident would result in a lawsuit.
In February 2018, he announced that he would be stepping away from his career indefinitely following Hedley's tour.
On July 23, 2018, Hoggard was charged with one count of sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm, involving a child under 16 and a woman. His trial date was scheduled to begin on 28 November 2018. On August 23, 2019, it was announced that Hoggard's trial would begin on September 27. On January 25, 2021, Hoggard's trial was pushed back to 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In January 2022, Hoggard's trial was once again postponed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It began on May 2, 2022, and on June 5, 2022, a Toronto jury found Hoggard guilty of sexual assault causing bodily harm against an Ottawa woman in the fall of 2016. The jury also acquitted Hoggard of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old fan and one count of sexual interference.
Hoggard was charged in March 2022 with sexual assault causing bodily harm in a June 2016 encounter in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The charge was made public on June 2. Hoggard is scheduled to appear in court on August 4, 2022.

Regarding As I Lay Dying, Nick Hipa's relatively recent departure provides, I think, some valuable insight regarding how we should be thinking about Tim. He said that he left "because the story and meaning we built our reunion upon decayed considerably over time. What primarily endures is a superficial pursuit I cannot justify supporting or being part of." I don't know how else to interpret that other than to not trust what Tim has to say about himself and that money was the only reason why the others are still there. As always, perhaps I'm wrong.

Or his son having cancer, which played a big role in him going religious. And to specify, Dero becoming religious/conservative wouldn't be so bad if he didn't go straight to the extremist/fundamentalist side of it. part of me hoping its just gonna be a phase and he'll eventually tone down and with the extremist conspiracy stuff

    Some thoughts on each person:
Finally. Somebody that calls out Jonny Craig for his heinous actions. It honestly baffles me how so many people either don't know or are completely ignorant to the fact that he's a horrible person. So many people don't seem to realize this about Tommy Vext either.
It's still depressing to hear about what happened to Travis Meeks, considering how great the debut album was from Days of the New. I really hope he can get his act together sometime.
Trashbag Brown, Wes Scantlin, Scott Stapp and Axl Rose are themselves. Not much I have to say about them, even though Trashbag Brown is way worse than the other three.
Even though Tim Lambesis has clearly been trying to better himself and move forward, I personally am no longer comfortable supporting AILD due to what happened.
While they were already planning to split, I feel awful for the other three members of Brand New. Their entire music careers were destroyed due to one person's past actions. They could try and form a new band, but fans will probably not be able to separate them from their more successful project.
I'm also not really surprised to find out that Jared Leto has allegations toward him. Of course, they get swept under the rug, despite many news media outlets reporting this information.

Since being diagnosed and getting on proper meds, he’s had no issues and is known for being unbelievably nice to fans that approach him in public.

30STM is a tragic story of wasted potential. They could've easily stood alongside MCR in that brief window of theatrical emo-flavored arena rock being THE thing, and they have some truly GREAT songs; The Kill, From Yesterday, Beautiful Lie, etc. all 00s classics. Unfortunately Jared Leto thought himself talented enough to be an actor AND a rock star, when really he should've just picked one, stayed with it, and improved his craft as either a musician or an actor.
Now he's just a so-so actor with a creepy reputation and several recent box office bombs of note to his name, and 30STM have been relegated to the also-rans of the emo era. Sad, really.
